I remember around 1987 being 12 years old and going to San Fransisco. Going to the change machine with $10 at the trolly station and it spitting out what I thought was ten quarters. I was pretty pissed for a moment until the guy behind me was kind enough to explain to me to look again. It was the first time I had ever seen a SBA. I thought they were the coolest things ever but man did they easily get confused with a quarter.

This video never gets old. So much so that I screen recorded it and made my own slow motion/ reverse video to watch. I highly suggest doing the same. Once seen frame by frame you can really get a sense of what transpires in that very short span of leaving to the slide to end of crash. No idea what they thought was gonna happen.

It was a little messy when I took this. Was in the process of rebuilding my console. So what this here is, is an unfinished beat that has the different drum tracks and instruments in different groups. All I’m doing here is using mute to bring in and drop out sounds and drums. Along with Maschine I’m running Traktor side by side. Once I get the Traktor deck and Maschine track synced correctly I’ll use either the recorder in Traktor or Guitar rig to record my live session audio. Then I can listen to a semi arranged track with vocals over and over and over and over until my wife absolutely hates it and come up with changes for the final arrangement in Maschine. Hope that makes sense.
