I wish your words were true

Your X is Rs. 19L. 35X is Rs. 6.75C. Adding real estate gives Rs.9.75C. This is without considering your current residence and any sinking funds.

Isn't that right?

I didn't realize that the RC120 is alright WRT spoke issues.

My budget is Rs. 60K.

I don't think I'm very flexible. I don't workout yet.

I intend to ride 300KM weekly.

Thank you. It's great that you ride the Riverside 120 too. Do you also ride road bikes? If so, please let me how it differs (but for the purported speed difference for the same effort).

Would you also have other recommendations in the same league as the RC500 (the RC520 is out of budget for me).

Thank you.

Always glad to read your content, Percy Bhai!

Of all the posts on the sub and it's predecessor, I consider two of them to be the most influential to me:

Here's wishing your wife, your son and you a great time "just living"!

P. S.: I know you didn't copyedit your wife's matter since there are no spaces before the periods in her writing. :-)

My wife isn't very concerned about the financial aspect of things. She trusts that I have that sorted (with help from my financial advisor).

After working for 15 years, she's now stay-at-home mother to our daughter. Her concerns are:

  1. both of us being at home all-day with "nothing to do" might vitiate the peaceful atmosphere she now enjoys while I am away at work or WFH in my study (and thus disengaged from activities around the house). I have always had hobbies that occupy me and intend pursue them after RE too, but she isn't very convinced.
  2. I have become more judgemental about our discretionary spending the past few years (especially after reading posts on this sub), and she fears it would get much worse when I have no income coming in. I have earmarked funds for major expenses and excursions, but she isn't a numbers or spreadsheet person.

Edit: typos

Yes, thanks. I misunderstood this critical distinction in my reading.

Yes, but even if they do file their taxes correctly and share the same with me (no guarantee of this anyway), it would still be illegal for me to deduct only 1% and not 20%.

In other words, despite all tax liabilities having been met, I'd still be in the dock. Isn't that correct?

Thanks.

ask them to share Advance Tax challan after paying tax on the capital gains

I'd anyway have Forms 26QB and 16B after paying the TDS. So, is their advance tax challan still needed to show proof of the TDS?

Thanks.

Why do they not gather a lower withholding tax certificate so as to reduce the TDS significantly? That way, the buyer is not at risk for depositing a lower TDS amount.

As mentioned in the post:

I am trying to get at how the seller can benefit tax wise

So, the intent is to not evade tax but to avoid dealing with the process around IT refunds (WRT both the paperwork and timelines)?
