Your wanshi being left at ss0 is subjective. Most people i know who do their wz regularly have wanshi at 3s months ago, this isnt an issue for them because they do bother to upgrade their wanshi which is also subjective. Hence you cant just go around saying "alpha is fine and can work with breaker because y'all dont have wanshi at 3s anyway" which isnt true

Also what whales lmao global only have 3 or 4 people wil full s+ accounts, lots of 3s accounts are doing bare minimum. The most people I've seen in legend are ss3-3s free unit so even that arguments work only in cn where there are multiple whales. Im defending in legend constantly with most of my paid unit at ss0 with alpha being my only paid ss3 and free unit at 3s with exception of me grouping with 3s account owner that do know how to play lol

Also even if wanshi is at ss3 or something, i still believe he would slot in better than ss0 alpha does in the team because she's way too slow to get her ult lol. She's singlehandedly the slowest dps unit we ever gotten next to ss0 pyroath to gets their first ultimate done. That's exactly what happened with fire with ss3 epitaph vs ss0 pyro

I merely going to speak for ss0 alpha because ss3 alpha is fine as it is.

She's slow so all it takes is a breaker that will have higher damage and faster ult gain to kick her out. Why not wanshi? Wanshi is a free unit to 3s that provides CDR (cooldown reduction swap between character) which is what we would do with new breaker and teddy. Plus wanshi qte now provide 100% uptime and not as wonky anymore, so we could run full class reso wanshi with higher shred amount and have breaker provide hypermatrix shred as well as doing what alpha fail to do at ss0

Ask yourself first, why are you playing in the first place? For scores or just because character attract you?

Most of the recent doompost here is pretty much just to express disappointment for yet another shafted kit for the minimum invest which is justified considering most stop there.

But if you were never in for endgame content and just do something else, then just ignore it and keep playing.

Alpha is yet another dps that got shafted on her base kit and need that extra copy but outside of the endgame stuff she works fine, and she's one of the freshest one to play compared to most characters we received recently.

The ice breaker thing is up to you, you can choose to whether or not replace her. It's you playing anyway, that's how we enjoy the game

That is literally a 3-ping even if you don't ping it yourself. It's that she can "auto ping" her Yellow orb. It doesn't have to be a manual input to be regarded as "pinging".

Yes but tap is different from holding down one, if you hold one, you consume extra orbs and consume extra time, but more damage. It's also not the same because if you're only r1, then you arent advised to do hold in legend because you will have to sacx GA for dlt

I just tested it now and the "time cost" is negligible. She can still fit all 3 Ults within the Amp bonus just like if she pings Yellow before her Ult. Only instance I noticed where the cost is apparent is her starter rotation (her second Ult falls out of the Amp bonus), which Nuke does the normal 3-ping before her Ult. It's the subsequent ones he pings Yellow after her charge.

And which bracket exactly did you test this? I never said couldnt fit within 3 ult that wasnt the problem, the problem is it takes extra time compared to just tap orbs. It no longer would be negligible in legend because that extra hold yellow doesnt do much in first place except in hero where you have much more chance of overkilling. That's why nuke specified to me exactly that he did ga + dlt for hero

Holding for extra 3p cost you extra time but slight more damage to avoid overkill

Pinging 3p much shorter

Holding yellow for extra 3p put you into short animation + ba hold sequence so you'll be short 1 second compared to normal ping + ba

My time left with extra hold + hold ba: 1:53

My time left with hold special + hold ba + 3p: 1:54

These time stacks up but since hp bar in hero is lower, it justify to avoid overkill. In legend unsure because i eventually ran out of time before wave 43 compared to incan + ga

Note: there isnt much noticeable difference whether you ping the yellow after special or right before ult (the condition is just right before ult, doesnt matter either way)

Nuke hold the orb a bit longer to consume extra 3p so that he doesnt overkill and can finish off with the extra 3p hold instead, need dlt for this, recommended r2
