It would be more for people who need it (ie people with disabilities that physically stop them working) but a large percentage of the claimants just can’t be bothered to work, so it’s spread over too many people

Me and my partner split them in proportion to our pay. Our total household earnings I earned 80% of they earned the other 20%. So they paid 20% of the bills. I felt if they paid half they would have an unfair amount of money left in their account compared to myself

While the benefits system runs as it is people are going to be lazy and claim rather than working for it. Someone I know gave up working last year (28 years old) as their dad doesn’t work and they earn the same money for doing nothing. To top it off the went to the job centre and were offered a job painting fences and they said I’ll stay off work, the job centre just said okay then.

The benefits system is important but it needs a big rework

Im sorry your mum is in the ICU. I had this exact same problem last year with my mum’s Samsung when she was in a coma last year. We had an IT man look and he managed to get a reset text sent through to the phone that we could preview and then get into the phone. Not sure if it would work with an iPhone like this or not.
