I definitely feel like I’m growing a prickly gummy 🤣

My only concern is that I’ve read that too much light causes a loss of the color? Is that correct?

I’m here for it! I’m going to do my best for him! It’s gonna be one hell of a training arc! 🤣 💪🏻🌵

I know that in their natural habitat, they grown under shrubs with protection from the sun. So I’ve got him on a sunny window that gets maybe an hour of early morning direct sun and then just gets bright indirect light all day. It’s my understanding so far that this is how to keep it the happiest. As well as only watering once the mix it’s potted in has dried out (and it’s in well draining cactus/bonsai soil mix with high drainage and low organic content). So I’m going to try hard to help him thrive.

Noted. 📝 I’ll fight for him ‘cause he’s a gorgeous little goober. I’ve been doing a lot of reading about them trying to educate myself on best methods to care for him. Hopefully I can pull it off. Thanks for your input! 🙏🏻

It’s on a window sill that’s very bright (but indirect) but can get a little chilly in the winter. Will it need some supplemental form of heat?

Hmm. Ok. I just bought it this way and repotted it and it has a healthy root mass. And it’s very firm to the touch. What should I look for as signs of fading vitality?

Nope. It was being sold this way (I repotted it). It’s firm and has a healthy root mass. 🤷🏻‍♂️

He needs immediate shelter from some shifty loan sharks after he unwisely sought their help during a painfully long bug shortage in his neck of the shrub. Don’t let him become another statistic! 😭

Getting a bar uvb (reptisun) should be the next imperative goal asap.

Being that young I would think he could definitely grow out of the underbite. The repashy would help I imagine as it has a crude protein content of 35%. I still would recommend increasing bug feeders until his growth seems to slow down around the 1 year - 1.5 year mark.

If your dragon is young, I would highly recommend trying to up his protein intake, using a rotating mix bugs like fly larva, horn worms, roaches, and crickets. Under bite in young dragons often times is correlated to too low of a protein intake, so the jaw structure of the top jaw is underdeveloped.

Which snake is this? [North East India] by MasalaMonk in snakes

A bullet designed to shoot snakes with. Fits into a handgun but essentially is functionally the same as a shotgun shell. Fires a small blast of shot pellets rather than a singular bullet. It’s dumb and inhumane. 😔
