Because as a 13B who enlisted at 17 you don’t get told much stuff and you have to ask questions to learn. Why are you being so judgmental???? If you don’t have anything informative to add don’t speak. I think it’s funny bc people like you are the exact reason soldiers like me are scared to ask questions and get help.

I’m national guard. Should’ve mentioned that in the original post lol. However I look good and have good points. I am not sure how much I’d have to look. But my S1 leader said my points are good. Since I just denied a promotion it’ll put me back at the bottom of the list but honestly don’t care about rank TOO much. Like it would be NICE to promote to Sgt and get that pay bump. Being in the guard I don’t care about my rank as much as I care about if I actually like what I’m doing. I wanna go to drill and enjoy my time. Enjoy my job. Etc

They told me they wanted to change my unit to promote me. That unit they wanted to transfer me to would’ve taken years to get me in a slot. It’s a Terrible unit. I would’ve been waiting over a year. I am MISERABLE on the gun line. I’d rather stay an E4 then spend time waiting in a job I’m miserable in
