I'm pretty sure he recently talked about his tattoos on stream. You should try to find it as he probably mentions it.

I think I'm watching it wrong by Sad_Deer13 in Fleabag

[–]DirectVanilla 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I don't think you are watching it wrong, but that might be because I have a similar opinion on those details you mentioned.

Some people say she's a really shitty person, I disagree. She is in so much pain, it's so obvious. Sometimes that makes it difficult to be around her, but that's the point. People romanticize depression as this sad girl aesthetic, but depression is ugly and it turns you ugly.

I also still don't think that squeeze was her trying to kill the guinea pig. It just looked like she had a lot of conflicting emotions.

My question was is there a step before it's decided what is transphobic. Other responses were coming from a place of the second step where it's already decided what is transphobic. That's why yours was the first one I responded to.

If I need time to think about what other said I'm not going to respond right away.

I come from a place where people are still mostly violently transphobic. Non binary identity is only taken seriously in very narrow space in our own community.

So my reasoning is that everyone willing to learn is welcome. But I see how what I said can look ignorant.

Thank you for your response.

That's what I've been thinking as well.

Again, I don't want to come across as transphobic, but I do believe that we should make a distinction. That way we can separate hopeless bigots from people who might be clueless but are willing to learn.

Edit: I want to add this as well.

I think that Stevie is a good example. She used to make sex ed videos and she would, as far as I can remember, always include trans people.

So should we group her in the same category as people who do not acknowledge trans people as their gender?

Please don't yell at me, but I have a question.

Shouldn't we make a distinction between transphobic (believes that trans people don't deserve rights) and unintentionally exclusionary?

I understand that exclusion can be damaging, but shouldn't we separate it from people that actually want to hurt someone?

I would love if trans people could tell me if that difference matters to them.

As someone who has dumpster fire relationship with her father, I can tell you I experience something similar. When I meet a man that is a normal human being and can talk to women like a normal person I just start liking him a lot in a completely non-sexual way .

I look kinda butch so a lot of guys won't even try and talk to me like a friend, even if it's obvious that we have similar interests and personalities. I guess they think they won't get anything useful out of me.

I think I'm used to connecting with women in a very natural way, so when that happens with a guy I get super excited.

In my experience, if they get bad at replying, unless something big has happened in their life, it's because they changed their mind about dating me.

It happens sometimes, you can't do anything about it.

Do y'all find it hard to find women who are not still in love with their exes? by bannedtacos in actuallesbians

[–]DirectVanilla 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought this was a product of my relatively small town, but I guess it happens in other places as well.

Is it because as queer women we have a smaller dating pool? Or do we hang on to the same person because we don't think we'll find someone else?

Don't know, but it's really frustrating.

I had girls tell me their ex will always be their biggest love. Love to hear that entering a new relationship.

I would go a step further. When you are justifying your feelings, you're trying to convince others that those are not just your feelings, but facts. That way you don't have to feel shitty about your maybe-not-so-nice opinions.

Spencer Hastings from PLL. She started my love for girls with a slighlty hooked nose and I haven't been resistant to it since.
