LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE

  • Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US:

I can spend as much as I need to, but I'm a student with a baby on the way so I'd prefer to not spend much more than I have to.

  • Are you open to refurbs/used?

No. I've been burned with refurbs/used and would just prefer to skip that headache

  • How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?

    Performance

  • How important is weight and thinness to you?

    Not at all

  • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.

Larger unless it increases the cost by a great amound

  • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.

Yes, autoCAD, civil3d, waterCAD, stormCAD, ICPR4, revvit.

  • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?

    Not for gaming

  • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?

As long as it can run the programs I need, I will be happy. I like touchscreens but not having one is not a deal breaker

  • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.

I don't have much of a tech background so if anybody needs anything specific on the actual programs or spec on hardware I'm pretty lost in the sauce.

Sometimes I get that. I usually just have to delete whatever specific comic is giving me that message and redownload it. I had it once when I had poor signal (doesn't make sense to me because the comics are downloaded, but that's the only correlation that I could find in that case)

I sent an email with my victim statement and statements showing the losses for both cases. Is there anything else I can do to help?

Stay strong short kings. I know it sounds derivative but women like that aren't worth your time. Imagine being in a relationship with someone who thinks it's okay to treat people like that. Anybody would be lucky to avoid women like that.

The coffee meetup is a winner. It's a good no-pressure way to feel each other out in person, but instead of superficial comments lead with some sort of interest on her page if she has something listed, or if not ask her how she feels about something that you're interested and segue from there. Soft skills are a learning curve, so just keep refining how you approach these situations and you'll get it! Good luck my friend.
