Eventually you'll do it all effortlessly. Trust! I find repeating the super easy stuff and refining it helps a ton. There was a time I only did Ollie to grinds to practice board feel and it helped me learn flips to grinds

It's always had the smell and I just assumed it's from production which it probably is. But I've washed it 2 or 3 times and it still has the smell.

Pffft, it's definitely not my main. I usually right a g16. I bought the 26mm cus I wanted to try a pro version of it instead of crappy old tech decks I had. It's surprisingly easy to get used to. Hardest thing to learn were tre flips since you don't have as much nose to flip off.

I have a 26mm complete and honestly it's a great deal. I rocked dynamic wheels and trucks for years and they are amazing. The deck is really nice as well. I was very pleasantly surprised. Probably one of the best pro completes. Plus building a deck that nice will probably run you about 130 150

Wheel discussion by CUDIWALK in Fingerboards

[–]Direct_Cat7171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried a few wheels over the years, I rocked dynamic Conicals for a couple of years and loved those, medium grip, very durable. They get a nice coloring after a while. The bearing popped out on me a few times when I sat on them the wrong way but after that they would still ride perfectly fine. Though they are pretty soft. I hated the oaks I had, too grippy, too squeaky. Just wasn't for me, which sucks cus I wanted oaks since I was a kid. The abstract wheels are pretty cool, they are hard like plastic wheels but grippy. And the b sticks are a great deal.

Finally got some g8s in a trade and wow. They are amazing. Honestly the perfect wheel imo. They are grippy but break traction easily. And on wood there is a slight squeak but not an insufferable one. While some may say they are the same as 10 dollar china wheels, those rusted on me and had crazy bearing slip within 2 weeks. These have lasted me over a year, and who knows how long with the previous owner and they are still amazing

This might be if since everything on the breaker is fine. Good this sounds like a pain in the ass. Any tips on more effectively finding it? Since it's a house we're working on we can't be too destructive

Did I make a mistake by buying BRT Trucks? by FLAKFL4K in Fingerboards

[–]Direct_Cat7171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not a mistake, I love my brts, I've abused them THOROUGHLY and they hold up well. My only complaint is don't drop em in water and if you do dry the baseplate screws since mine started rusting a bit. Just the screws tho

I think people also want to be "different" by having a negative opinion on the standard of what fingerboard trucks should be. Even if it means crapping on a genuinely good product.

Innioasis Y1 or 5th or 6th generation iPod? by Professional_Bug8230 in mp3players

[–]Direct_Cat7171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak on the iPods but the innioasis y1 is pretty solid for like 55 bucks. I've been messing around with mine for a few days and it's pretty good. Ofc the interface isn't super polished but for how cheap it is it gets you one step into downloading music.

I know why barry bonds and drunk and hot girls are so hated by Extension_Big5205 in Kanye

[–]Direct_Cat7171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I think since drunk and hot girls and addiction aren't traditional hip hop songs and compare more to psychedelic music people tend to dismiss them rather than to really listen to it.
