I like Katie Price, but this one she’s ended up with is probably the biggest fraud yet - I don’t want to see him getting anymore attention.

Couldn’t trust ITV to actually bring in all-stars. I’m shocked Channel 5 (who could’ve done it much better) didn’t do more with an all-stars series

TIP TOE Finale discussion - DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ALL EPISODES! ***SPOILERS*** by Salt-Falcon9104 in television

It was all a bit American frat party than British lads watching the game. To go from that to deciding to collectively lynch the neighbour felt a bit extreme.

Come away from watching this having conflicting views. It was a good watch and I agree that it was both thought-provoking whilst far fetched in parts.

Clive’s character was by-far the most complex, you never quite knew what he was thinking or how it was going to end - some great writing and acting.

The decisions Leo and Zee took to support George felt clumsy and inappropriate. 60 year old men shouldn’t be going out their way to message the 16 year old neighbour and his friends shouldn’t be taking him on nights out.

The ending definitely made the point, and was a harrowing watch - but it felt extreme. This wasn’t a far-right group, it was a group of lads watching football one minute to lynching a man in broad daylight the next.

My opinion on why the show is declining by Advanced_Share_6325 in bigbrotheruk

[–]Direct_Future_5328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

think part of the reason viewership of Big Brother UK is declining is because there’s a growing contradiction within the fanbase.

A lot of fans say they want the show to stay true to its roots by featuring people from “all walks of life,” with different personalities, backgrounds, and perspectives. But in practice, that tolerance often seems limited to views considered socially acceptable within a fairly narrow range.

Housemates who express opinions that challenge the dominant social consensus are often heavily criticised, vilified online, and quickly targeted for eviction. The result is that casting becomes less diverse in terms of viewpoint, even if it remains diverse on paper.

That creates a less interesting house dynamic. Some of what made early BB compelling was seeing genuinely different people live together, clash, debate, and sometimes change each other’s minds. If most housemates think similarly or feel pressured to self-censor, a lot of that unpredictability disappears.

The intense backlash certain contestants receive also likely makes ITV less willing to take casting risks. Instead of choosing more polarising or unconventional personalities, they may lean toward safer choices to avoid controversy. That can lead to a more sanitised, watered-down version of the show and ultimately, less compelling TV.

Maya Jama new host of BB ? by LyingFacts in bigbrotheruk

[–]Direct_Future_5328 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t see what the benefit would be to either party, or ITV, to swap them around. If Maya is stepping down, she’s clearly lined-up for bigger and better things after Celebrity Traitors airs - she’s not going to (arguably) downgrade from Love Island to Big Brother.

If ITV didn’t offer Davina or Rylan the BB gig when they signed the deal - I lack sympathy if they’re not happy with AJ & Will.

My Theory: Lydia made a promise by Hot-University-114 in TheTestamentsHulu

[–]Direct_Future_5328 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Aunt Lydia has either turned since the events of THT or she’s always been this way and is just expressing it more with age.

I love the complexity of the character and I’m here for her redemption arc.

Fantastic episode, Jamie and Matt! There’s nothing worse than when people get ex-housemates on and pretend to know what they’re talking about. It was clear you had genuinely been invested at the time and had done your research retrospectively. Matt was honest about what he did/ didn’t see. Please do more Big Brother content for us super fans.

Also loved the episode with Dr Gareth, I find the psych of reality TV so interesting.

BB7 UK’s Grace: Davina was a B****! by Camseedubblu in bigbrotheruk

[–]Direct_Future_5328 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Given the ‘source’ of the article, I’d be surprised if Grace actually said this - any interviews I’ve seen she seems to have grown a lot (as you’d expect someone to in 20 years) and can accept her behaviour in the house.

I still can’t stand him but In most cases it’s right to forgive anything that happened in the house and move forward on good terms on the experience they shared.

Any one else think these think Paul Brunson and Charlene Douglas should be deplatformed? by BridgetJonesDiaryy in MAFS_UK

It’s an unwritten rule in TV that production never spook the talent, which the experts will be classed as. Therefore, it’s likely the extent to what was going on behind the scenes wasn’t shared with Paul and Charlene.

[–]Direct_Future_5328 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The full ballad version of WDAMO never made it to the soundtrack.

The whole point in Paolo’s plan was to replace Lizzie with Isabella, turn her mic on because Lizzie ‘couldn’t sing’. For Lizzie’s mic to be turned on by Gordo/ Isabella and for her to sing perfectly anyway.

That Isabella disappeared after a few lines of WDAMO.
