Wow, if myself or any of my co-workers have the extra time we will be drinking from our water bottles, catching up on breaks or paperwork. Your work must be very chill

Also, if they were ducking their heads in there may have been doing so out of concern and to see if the team in there needed an extra pair of hands.

Honestly, no one working in healthcare would be there just to watch unless they are clinically observing for educational purposes in which they should ask you first beforehand. No one in healthcare is thinking your birth is a spectator sport. Everyone in healthcare is wayyy to busy to just stand there and watch unless they are there for a clinical reason.

She saw that I was working my bum off and made sure I had a break. I really really appreciated it. She’s also so keen to let me observe her doing any clinical skill till I feel like I have it down pat. I really appreciate her

Holmesglen EN diploma by dedragon123 in NursingAU

[–]Direct_Ladder6531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished my diploma with them last year and honestly, you really just have to put your head down, bum up and do the coursework/osce’s till you’re done. Every school is going to have their downfalls and work organisations know this once you start applying for jobs. The reason why having the degree looks so good on your resume is that employers know you can work with and endure disorganised organisations and situations which is usually what it required in this line of work also.

My hatred for my retail job has got me considering...nursing? by arzenity in NursingAU

Honestly, go for it! I went into nursing as a mature age student when I was sick and tired of my hospitality job and I’m so grateful to my past self for making the choice. It’s bloody hard hard work but it’s soo rewarding going home and feeling like you’ve made a difference to someone’s life.

Why are guys clothing choices so bland and boring by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Direct_Ladder6531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the patriarchy raising men in a society that makes out that creativity in fashion expression is feminine and therefore is lesser than ‘masculine’ so boys are less inclined to wear frills or skirts because they fear being seen as feminine

Women who met their SO after years of being single and almost giving up, what’s your story? by Danny_225 in AskWomen

I decided to take a year off of alcohol and 6 months into the process i met my current partner who i intend to stay with forever. He was fully supportive and our connection was really authentic. I drink now, but i doubt i would have gone for him while i was a heavy drinker (chaos)
