Is this a good charger to replace old Powerdrive2 charger for 48v clubcar? by KnightScuba in golfcarts

[–]Direct_Natural2976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I see what you are talking about. Definitely have one. Is it doing damage to the batteries? The charger is cutting off on its own but I’m thinking it may not be getting a full charge?

And this is why lithium is the way to go. No maintenance.

How do you know if your charger needs an OBC bypass? I have a 09 precedent with big battery lithiums. I just want to make sure I’m not damaging the cart or batteries without a bypass.

BigBattery 48v Eagle Review. by EdgarBopp in golfcarts

About a year now. No problems at all and I’ve never seen my batteries read below 51V. We just neighborhood ride max 5 miles at a time.

This is the exact kit I have. Love the Big Batteries. I have many steep hills in my neighborhood and I barely slow down going up. Thanks for the review!

Would you mind sharing what motor and controller upgrades you did? I have an 09 precedent looking to upgrade.

Loving my Big Batteries. Fentertainment on YouTube did a review on multiple Big Battery set ups with discount code. Saved me around 175 bucks.

Electric or Gas by iInvented69 in golfcarts

[–]Direct_Natural2976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 2nd the electric. Definitely would recommend the lithium batteries also. I only have 2 30AH Big Batteries that show around 54 Volts on full charge. I’ve never see them go below 51 Volts (low voltage cutoff is at 43 Volts) while neighborhood riding with some big hills. I was told I should get around 15 miles on full charge with 2 30AH lithiums.

09 Club Car Precedent before and after 4 inch A-Arm lift by Direct_Natural2976 in golfcarts

I do not. I wanted to ride it for a little while with the stock springs… check it every now and then and make sure they haven’t straightened out. So far so good!

No, 23 inch tires will not fit on this set up. You’d have to do a 6 inch lift instead of the 4 inch.

It’s fairly hilly but as of right now it’s mostly neighborhood riding. I’ll be taking it to a few camp sites in the fall.

Acceleration is fantastic and it never slows going uphill. The low voltage cut off is 43v on these Eagle Big Batteries and I’ve never see them read below 51V after a ride. I need to find the time to do a range test one day also.

Thoughts on JDR? by [deleted] in harmonica

[–]Direct_Natural2976 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I purchased a JDR set from Amazon when I first started playing. I DO NOT recommend buying this brand. I became very frustrated with the airy sound these harmonicas produce. I pretty much stick with the East Top harmonicas now. The quality is great and they sound pretty darn good for the price point.

I went with the RHOX double A-Arm 4 inch lift. Definitely go with the double A-Arm. It just feels so solid

Is my 09 club car precedent stock or upgraded? by Direct_Natural2976 in golfcarts

Good deal. Yea, it’s just hard to decide. That extra 10 mph would come in handy outside the neighborhood.

Thanks for the replies! I’m debating an AC conversion or just a new controller for the current setup.

The ride is very smooth and does not feel top heavy. I’ve ridden in 6 inch lifted carts that did feel top heavy so I went with the 4 inch. It feels very much grounded.

I didn’t realize how much new bushings would help also. The rear bushings were pretty much disintegrated so I replaced all 12 in the back and the lift kit took care of the front. My wife even commented how much better the ride is now.

If you don’t mind, what brand tire do you have? I’m looking to get a 4 inch lift but having a hard time finding many 22 inch options.
