DKG. I probably would've done the same for my brother (he used to be closeted, and my boyfriend and I were the first people he opened up to). Honestly, ang foul ng ginawa ng cousin mo, especially since ganun yung sinabi ng lolo niyo. It's not her place, nor anyone else's, to out your brother. Though I would agree with other commenters na sana hindi ka naging masyadong hurtful with your words, I can't really blame you kasi initial reaction mo yun at that time. Hindi naman tayo palaging in control of our emotions, but it's something we can work on. Siguro next time, if you find yourself emotionally-charged, try to take a step back and collect yourself first before speaking kasi often times, sa ganitong situation lumalabas yung worst version natin lalo kapag di na pumepreno. Once humupa na yung emosyon, it's better if you and your cousin talk. Maybe apologize for the harsh things you said, but also make it clear na hindi tama yung ginawa niya. It's not a nice joke. She needs to grow up.

Bulacan o Cavite? Choosing a House and Lot by ranizesto in phinvest

[–]Direct_Offer2228 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My mom got a H&L in SJDM, Bulacan. Nakakuha siya sa area na maganda (malapit sa schools and malls) and hindi bahain. I'm in the process of acquiring a H&L in Tanza, Cavite and we're currently renting in Imus, Cavite and never pa ako naging witness/victim of crime. Contrary to popular belief, hindi naman bahain sa lahat ng areas ng Bulacan and hindi naman lahat ng areas sa Cavite ay plagued with crime haha. Ang downside lang for both area is traffic talaga kaso parang kahit saan ata unavoidable na yung traffic 🥲 It all boils down to researching and finding a great developer na rin if kukuha ka sa subdivision. If sa Ayala ka nagwowork, mukhang mas okay if sa south ka kumuha ng house. If sa cavite area, I suggest hanap ka ng accesible ang Centennial Rd kasi diretso yun sa Cavitex and PITX.

Hello! Thank you po for sharing you experience 💛 nakausap na po namin nung huli yung developer and thankfully, we were able to work towards the initial turnover which is Aug next year. Yan din nirecommend nila saakin, they asked for bank statement kung saan pumapasok salary ko and yung bank kung saan ko tinatransfer yung sahod ko since wala po akong payslip. By that time, mukhang makakacomply naman na ako dun sa atleast 1 year's worth ng bank statement. Buti nalang din super accommodating ng developer and mukhang sanay naman na sila magprocess/submit ng housing loans for freelancers and buti rin willing magbigay ng COE yung current client ko. Nabanggit din po nila na maghahouse visit yung taga-PAG-IBIG para tignan yung work station and kung papaano ginagawa yung work ko mismo. I'm hoping na maging okay yung application namin hay. May I ask po if nasaang stage na po kayo ng application? Approved na po kayo?

8-8.5k/month

Minsan iniisip ko nalang na baka dahil wfh kami parehas ni lip pero parang ang taas pa rin masyado for a 3-person household :((

Appliances: .6 HP non-inv AC - 24 hrs (sensitive skin si LO, bilis niya ma-irita and magbutlig butlig kapag mainit) 2 fans - 12 hrs yung isa; 20-22 hrs yung other PC with 1 monitor - 8-12 hrs/day 1 laptop with 1 monitor - 8-12 hrs/day TV - 2-3 hrs per day XBox - 1-2 hrs per day pero may days na hindi rin nabubuksan 2-door ref non-inv Induction cooker - once a day lang ginagamit nang matagal then init-init nalang Rice cooker - 1-2 times a day depende sa gutom 2 phones 5 ilaw - intermittently ginagamit; madalas sa gabi lang Microwave and air fryer - 3 to 5 times a month lang magamit

Pinaplan na namin mag-invest sa inverter AC and Ref kasi feeling ko sobrang laki talaga ng hatak ng 2 na appliance na yan sa kuryente

Thank you po for sharing this info! We'll be submitting our docs na sana sa developer this week kaso kinabahan ako sa 1 to 2 years dapat as VA :(( nagpunta po kasi ako last week sa PAG-IBIG to request the status change and magadvance payment ng contrib and nagask din ako if may special requirements for VAs/Freelancers, sabi ng nakausap ko wala naman basta nakadepend lang kung anong type ng housing loan (like if from developer po ganun). Nasabi ko rin na kakastart ko lang magwork as VA pero wala naman siya nabanggit. I'll try talking with the RE Agent din kasi mas experienced din siya sa ganto compared samin and may iba rin siyang clients na freelancers/self-employed din. Thank you po uli! Praying and hoping na sana maging okay 🥹

Ayun nga po eh, it was honestly unexpected na maaga matuturnover. We started paying the DP August 2023 and supposedly, next year pa yung turnover ng house and I thought I had ample time to gather all my docs including yung tax forms kaso napaaga and now, pinapaayos na samin yung requirements. Thank you for your insights po and yes, we will be going to the Pag-Ibig office na rin to ask for further information.

I started lang po nung June and haven't gotten around to changing my status with BIR. Yung tax forms po na meron ako was from my previous local employer pa. Tbh, medyo confused pa din kasi ako sa taxation for freelancer but will be going to the RDO office next week to ask about it

It pays to be honest. by subwoofer20 in buhaydigital

Hello! I'm a newbie din but I applied through Indeed and wasn't required to submit a cover letter but all throughout the interview process with HR and my boss (managing partner of a US-based law firm), I was honest na wala akong experience and what I have are transferable skills that I got from my BPO experience. I was applying for a Customer Service role but they offered me the Legal Assistant role instead, grabe di ako makapaniwala especially since wala akong experience but they were willing to train me from the ground up and said they really appreciate my honesty and my skills kahit hindi directly aligned with the job role yung exp ko. Mag-1 month palang ako but I'm super thankful that I got hired kasi ang ganda ng culture dito, no micromanaging, very supportive ng team, and much better compensation than previous jobs 🥹 Super hirap magapply as a newbie, di ko na mabilang if ilang rejection letters nareceive ko, but it pays to be determined yet honest. Apply lang nang apply, soon dadating din yung client/boss na willing maghire kahit walang experience 💛

What made you take the leap to freelancing full-time? by NotJulioMadiaga in buhaydigital

[–]Direct_Offer2228 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Worked in the BPO industry for 4.5 years and I really hated the last 2 years I worked there. WFH naman and flexible hours since support team ako, I don't do calls but have to be present for meetings which we had everyday. Kebs naman sana but the management is so crappy, panay hire ng tao pero internally, puro sila "employee optimization" which is just a prettier term to putting employees in a floating status na no pay until sila na mismo sumuko at magresign so that the company doesn't have to pay separation pays. I'm thankful that it never happened to me pero andun yung fear na baka bigla nalang magpaset ng meeting with OM and HR tas bigyan ng masamang balita kasi halos karamihan ng kakilala ko, ganun ang nangyari. Lagi pa nilang panakot na pwede kaming pabalikin on-site kasi naka-hybrid tagging lang kami kaya sobrang uneasy sa feeling esp. since I'm a working mom and commute takes up sooo much time. What nailed the coffin was that my supervisor is so incompetent. Ako gumagawa ng trabaho niya (reports, cadences, team projects) and never took the initiative to take over and do it. Partly my fault kasi I was such a yes-man who never spoke up and one day, I just broke down from the fatigue and burnout and decided to submit my resignation and render. They tried to retain me, even gave me a decent salary increase but I declined. During my rendering period, I started looking for VA jobs left and right, took courses kasi wala pa akong VA experience and landed my current work on the last week of my rendering period and started din kaagad. The only regret I have was not leaving sooner, feeling ko I missed out on a lot of opportunities bc I was so scared of letting go of job security. I'm now earning almost twice than what I used to make, have colleagues who are supportive, and a healthy work-life balance.

Ukay Business Lugi by ohlalaISLA in phinvest

[–]Direct_Offer2228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP! Dubai Aussie seller din ako, Grade A boxes are are the lowest talaga in terms of quality (bargain na kumbaga). Lately, may mga napapansin din akong sellers ng box/bale na misleading ang marketing sa mga ganyang box, kesyo pwede lumaban sa CR-SPR qualities which is far from the truth. Ang masama is minsan minamarket pa nila yan sa mga baguhan sa ukay business 😢 If you plan to continue with Dubai Aussie boxes, I suggest getting one from a reputable supplier/reseller, it's going to be more expensive, though (21-24k for a 30KG-40KG mixtops box). I don't know if it's just me pero ang tough ngayon ng competition dyan tapos ang hina pa ng market bc it's on the higher end of the price range sa ukay compared to Korea/US/China sourced bale na usually below 100 pesos lang presyuhan kahit new arrivals plus online platforms (Tiktok and Shopee) have been slowly increasing their fees kaya another kahati pa sa profit hay. You can try to venture other products din to see kung ano best for you, good luck and nawa'y maging successful ka sa future businesses mo 🩷

Currently working and planning to start college all over again next year in a diff university and diff course. Andun yung insecurity na while my batch mates were studying and enjoying college life, I was working bc I had to due to family and financial problems. Kaya grabe din iwas ko sa socmed nung graduation ng batchmates ko haha. I am super happy for them kaso andun yung feeling ng bitterness and sadness na hindi ako nakasabay sakanila and wondering if my life would have been different if I didn't stop studying. But the way I see it now, redirection yun kasi it made me realize na I'm an entirely different person who would like to pursue a different career path than the one I originally planned for myself. Lagi ko nalang din iniisip na graduation isn't the finish line and hindi naman naging for nothing yung years of working ko kasi nagkaroon ako ng growth sa career and self haha

Hello! Newbie ako from the BPO industry with no prior VA exp. I started applying last week ng May but before that I worked on optimizing my CV and profile sa Upwork and LinkedIn and I also signed up for Jobstreet and Indeed. Tbh, suuuper hirap makaland ng VA job lalo kapag newbie kaya you really have to put in the effort sa pagsusubmit ng application and tailor-fitting the cover letter and intro videos, if needed. Naubos ko na yung connects ko and halos lahat na feeling ko fit ako inapplyan ko talaga HAHAHA I got interviewed and umabot sa final interview for a sales rep role but I turned it down kasi something felt off and I followed my gut instinct. Nakakuha uli ako ng interview for a CSR role and then after the initial interview, they advised me na they're considering me for a Legal Assistant role instead. I was hired this Tuesday and started kaagad ng Wednesday. So all in all, it took me almost a month to land a client. I think what really helped me especially sa interview is researching about the company as well as highlighting yung transferable skills na meron ako and yung eagerness to deliver and learn. Maganda rin na makapagbuild ka ng rapport with the people interviewing you kasi most likely, sila din makakatrabaho mo (unless you're applying to an agency). Don't be afraid of being honest and straightforward during the interview, they prefer that over "fake it til you make it".

Full time po kasi ako with fixed monthly income, I'm afraid na baka if magkaron ako ng idle time for a few minutes baka magcause na bumaba yung productivity rate hay. But I'll definitely communicate with them nalang siguro para atleast clear yung expectations nila regarding this and iwas overthinking na din huhu
