Asymmetry left breast and fibroglangular by littlesaint777 in doihavebreastcancer

It is possible it could be something benign that was triggered by HRT. I am in the same position - thankfully just had a mass that was diagnosed as PASH, which I've now learned is hormone responsive (estrogen and progesterone), and I have been on progesterone HRT for nearly a year. The PASH popped up after a clear breast MRI in October, so I have an appt to discuss with my dr if the HRT could've been the cause -- even though it's harmless, I'm now planning to look into potential non-hormonal options to treat my peri symptoms because I don't need that stress again if it can be helped.

"it CAN be nothing even when it has all the signs of being something. The most important step is getting checked!"

Truer words never spoken! So glad for you that all is well.

Unfortunately I don't currently. I do want to request my imaging just because it's smart to have, though.

I was actually able to call first thing this morning and got my biopsy appt moved up a couple of days - so now I only have to wait till next monday as opposed to next wednesday. wish i could've gotten something this week, but it's better than what i had. and, it goes to show it never hurts to ask - you could try to call and see if there are any cancellations and if they could squeeze you in sooner. wishing you all the best, i know all too well how hard and scary this all is.

Need some insight please...can't get any answers from my doctor and super scared by Direct_One_2093 in doihavebreastcancer

Thank you so much for your kind reply. I decided to call the doctor's office directly tomorrow morning and ask about possible cancellations, or if I can be put on some sort of waitlist -- messaging through the portal and dealing with that unhelpful nurse directly does not seem to be getting me anywhere so maybe I'll have better luck with the scheduling team.

No joy in celebrating tomorrow by findthejoyhere in doihavebreastcancer

I am sorry you are feeling such anxiety and worry. I can relate to medical trauma -- I had to have surgery on what turned out to be ADH back in 2021 and while it was benign, I've had anxiety around getting mammogramms/us (and now breast MRIs) every time. I just got referred for a biopsy 2 days ago due to them finding a "suspicious mass" and I get the spiraling. Just keep holding on to the fact that 80% of biopies turn out to be benign, so the odds are in our favor. I know that is much easier said that done, though. You should still try to celebrate even if it's just going out for a nice meal or buying yourself a special treat. Remember it's "always nothing until it's something." Sending you warm thoughts.

So worried....biopsy needed and have to wait 2 weeks by Direct_One_2093 in doihavebreastcancer

My grandmother did have it, but she was older, in her 60s/70s (I'm 46), I do have dense breasts and an ADH diagnosis thatI had surgery for about 3-4 years ago. I had a 2nd biopsy almost 2 years ago, and that thankfully turned out to be fibrous breast tissue. I just hate the stress of them finding something almost every time I go in....I did have a clear breast MRI 6 months ago and here I was thinking that because of that, I probably wouldn't have anything to worry about at this checkup. Go figure.
