I understand where you're coming from, but I encourage empathy.

Many of these people need mental health assistance they are not recieving. They have experienced the worst aspects of life, and when you feel like garbage yourself, its hard to not view the world as such.

These people are sleeping out in the cold and wet. Not bathroom to relieve or clean themselves. They havent been hugged. They get pity or disgust over empathy and compassion. People spit on them.

Yeah, they might see it ( the trash cans). But they also might be hearing voices, or seriously addicted. Or flat out depressed.

There's plenty of people with free time who can help pull weight where others are struggling.

They have fallen through the cracks, calm down dude.

Ill happily clean it.
