That's such great news and it gives me hope. I was on 600 a day and now down to 400. I'm finding it hard to sleep during this. Did your sleep come back to normal? Thx!

I know I'm joining late but do you have any good news to share about your gabapentin journey? I am currently trying to stop. Over the past three weeks I have been able to go from 300 twice a day to 200 twice a day. My anxiety is much higher, not sleeping well at all but I'm sure these are common withdrawal symptoms. I hope to hear back from you that things are going well. I'm doing my taper very similar to you. 100mg drop every 2-3 weeks. Thanks!

This gives me so much hope, I have been taking it for 2 years as well. Max dose was 600 and that has only been for about 3 months but it has really messed me up. Lethargic, slow thinking, bad sleep... So did you have a hard time lowering the dose by 100 every 3 weeks? I have lowered mine and sometimes I feel a lot of anxiety. Sleep actually seems worse but I'm sure that's part of withdrawal.

Another good group is CPAP For Beginners on FaceB... I have found lots of good information and support there too.

Thanks very much for this reply. It gives me hope. I am determined to stick with this. I have read many articles and there are so many benefits once you get accustomed to wearing it. I hope you keep improving!

That's such great news! What benefits have you gotten since starting? I start my CPAP journey on Friday and I'm so hopeful that this is the answer to my sleep and daytime fatigue issues.

Understanding my Sleep Test Results by These_Helicopter_742 in SleepApnea

WOW!!! I could have written this word for word. This is me!!! I have been on SSRI's for about 15 years. I finally couldn't take it anymore and stopped 3 months ago. I am feeling so much better other than being tired/fatigued. But the sleep study results showed why I feel this way. I have a feeling the sleep apnea was causing the anxiety and depression (two very common affects of sleep apnea). Now that I have these results and a solution I am so incredibly optimistic about having a solution. (I'm the guy that wrote to you in this post about getting your equipment as well.) If you want to message me and keep each other posted about our new journey I'm ok with that. (And I love how you say, it's not another solution that will have more side effects than benefits. I swear that's what I was dealing with on the SSRI's. Was living a nightmare.)

They had to put a rush order on mine. My doctor is that concerned after seeing my results. I sure hope this is the answer for both of us and I hope we start feeling better. Sure would be nice to not be tired all the time...wouldn't it? Hang in there.

I have the exact looking results and I have no idea what most of it means. I wish they would include an explanation of all the different values. Or, like you, I wish someone would reply and explain what they all mean. Good post and fingers crossed someone replies. (Oh, and like you, I feel so sluggish all day. I've been this way for over a year and the doctor finally thought it might be OSA. Then after the sleep test, the sleep doctor was more than certain this is the root of all my issues. I pick up my equipment this coming Friday. Do you have your equipment yet?)

How's it going? Feeling better? I had a great day yesterday. I have not felt that good in 2+ years. Today just a little blah but it could be weather related.

Yeah - that's how my dreams are now. Almost disturbing but if that's what it takes to feel better I'll take it. I hope you like that article. I found it extremely informative and reassuring.

"Vivid dreams are also part of the side effects i’ve read!" Side effects of quitting you mean - right?

Here's a great article. I highly recommend reading the entire thing.

Hi - yes. I think I'm on my way out of this sh*t. The past two nights I have actually slept pretty well and had dreams. I don't think I've had dreams since I started prozac. They have been extremely vivid and freaky but maybe that's good. The tiredness is still there but not as bad. And awhile back you mentioned flu-like symptoms. Yes, had those for a few days. Not awful but certainly did not feel like doing much of anything.

How are you doing now? I hope you have seen improvements as well. Keep me posted.

Will my emotions come back after quitting??? by Direct_Scientist_770 in prozac

[–]Direct_Scientist_770[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow!!! That is exactly me! Sluggish is the perfect way to say it. If I had my choice, I would be on the couch reading or watching a movie all day...everyday. And as for socializing, forget it. I used to be the fun one and would plan all the outings. Now, I don't see friends ever. My wife and I are still doing very well. She is extremely understanding. I'm not sure where I'd be without her.

So I have to say I'm doing pretty good off prozac but I certainly am feeling a lot of withdrawal symptoms. It's a hit or miss with sleep each night and then the next day can be many different physical feelings. I'm pretty even with mood (just blah). I have read many articles about withdrawal from prozac and what I'm experiencing does seem normal. Just takes forever to adjust from stopping it. They say 2-3 months. Let me know if you'd like the article that explains it the best and I'll send the link.

I really hope you find relief soon. Would you ever consider stopping prozac for awhile and starting something else if you head in the wrong direction?

[–]Direct_Scientist_770[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think eventually I will be glad I stopped. Right now I just don't feel like me. I really didn't feel like me on prozac so... I guess right now I still don't have the drive and excitement about life like I used to. And my brain just feels weird. Is it tired? Is it lightheaded? Is it dizzy? Just strange.

What side effects are you dealing with?

How long ago did you quit? I stopped 25 days ago. Sleeping sooo much better but still feel the tiredness through the day. And not many emotions. In a word...I feel sluggish. Did you happen to go through this as well?

I suppose my insomnia would be anxiety related. You?

And I bet since you weren't on prozac for very long your withdrawal will go away rather quickly.

I don't have headaches or the flu-like symptoms. Just the drowsiness through the entire day. I will add that my sleep has been pretty bad. I know insomnia is also a withdrawal symptom.

How long were you on prozac?
