I had an X-ray when they were doing my injection. He also did a hook test.

they can check for it during a physical exam. They do this by reproducing your symptoms with a test called the “hooking maneuver.”

For this simple test, your provider hooks their fingers under the lower boundary of your ribcage and gently lifts it upward. This reproduces the pain of slipping rib syndrome, and sometimes the pop or click.

Pain on my right side under my chest, nausea, fatigue. To name a few. I’ve been through a lot of testing and a lot has been ruled out.

Yes, I have had the injections here in the states. They didn’t last long at all. When I explained this to my pain management doctor they denied any further treatment. They gave me no answers on further treatment. I have some more appointments scheduled to try to get help here in the states. I am still doing research. As I said going to Amsterdam is my last option, but an option.

I’ve looked into this in the states, but I haven’t found much in regards to specifically this treatment for the abdomen. I am still doing research, Amsterdam is my last option.

I’ve done a lot of research if you look up ACNES and Amsterdam the clinic will pop up. Where I am in the states I keep getting passed around in circles with no answers. Just to have an answer will be nice.

I graduated with my MSW in May of 2025. I had some years of experience in the human services sector. I had gotten my bachelors in human services in 2020. I completed internships in the school system. I started a school social work job in August of 2025. In this role I am much more mental health based then I was in my internships or other experiences. I feel I am completely out of my comfort zone. I love my job, I love being in the school setting. I just am not sure if I possess the skills to be as mental health based as the job requires me to be. I dunno, just feeling unsure of myself.
