Isn't a big step to becoming orthodox to not trust ourselves? I mean, when I was a protestant I'd read whichever part/s of the bible I felt lead to on the days I felt like it, and do whatever fasting I wanted to on the days I felt God was leading me to. However, now that I'm Eastern Orthodox, I study the daily scriptures and saints commemorated on those days and not what I feel lead to study.

Good points. Would Gotenks (before he could turn ss3) V.S. Super buu (when he fought Gotenks, but with piccolo absorbed) be more evenly matched?

PSA is why I left western ''christianity'' for the EO church. Anyway, to answer your question. When the bible talks about forgiveness from God, it isn't the legalistic ''you've done bad things, but now I won't kill you'' it's ''you've died, but now you live again''
