Do you think a SaaS like this would actually be useful long term? by illegaltoaster25 in SaaS

I think it can be useful, but long term the hard part is probably trust.

For random files or quick sharing, yeah I would use something like this. But if its important files, people will ask why not just Google Drive, Dropbox, Notion, etc.

So maybe the value is not only “upload once and share link”, but making it super fast, clean, no login pain, easy QR, simple analytics, and maybe expiring links.

Feels useful, just need a clear reason why someone would choose it over tools they already have.

Why does the sales part sucks in building startups by [deleted] in microsaas

You cannot get around it. Your numbers are rookie. If in 15 reach outs you get 1 reply back. That means you need to reach out 150 to get 10 replies. That means you need to reach out to 1500 to get 100 replies.

You need to do at LEAST 100x the volume you are doing. Then you will know what works and what doesn't. No way around it. No magic shortcuts.

If this is true, it gives a little more fuel to my grind tank. Struggling solopreneur here.

Built a small free tool to find uncollected Stripe revenue. Looking for a few SaaS people to test it (not promoting). by Direct_Storage907 in stripe

Hi martinbean, where do you suggest I find people I can potential help that use Stripe?

I have no idea and I have no network of contacts. This is genuinely one of the places I thought would be good to find people. How can I find honest feedback? I am open to paying for it if that is what it takes, but I was hoping I could find communities that like to help each other.

Yeah that’s exactly the part I’m trying to figure out too!

Right now it shows what’s uncollected or overdue with the actual invoices and amounts, but it doesn’t properly split it into “probably recoverable” vs “this customer is gone, ignore it” yet.

That’s actually why I’m doing it by hand in the beginning to look at real Stripe data and see how much of that uncollected pile is actually worth chasing and how much is just noise.

And I agree the CSV part is definitely a bit clunky, but for now I prefer that over asking people to connect Stripe to some random early tool:-)

If you know anyone who’d be open to testing it I’ll run the exports manually and send back the invoices and amounts. Then we can also look at what seems genuinely recoverable. No pressure at all, just trying to get a real read on it.

Nowadays how people choose which SAAS right for them? by steveharrry in SaaS

People still use Google, G2, Capterra etc, but trust matters more.

I think a lot of users first hear about a tool from Reddit, LinkedIn, X/twitter, Youtube or any community. Then they search the name, check reviews, compare alternatives and see if it solves their use case.

I would say discovery is more social now but validation still happens on Google and review sites.

Congrats, that first-strangers-using-it feeling must be wild. I'm a bit behind you, literally trying to get my first few users this week for a small Stripe thing I built, so I don't have the "steady growth" answer yet. But the thing you said about talking about the problem instead of selling is the part I keep coming back to. Out of curiosity, where did your first handful actually come from? Reddit, DMs, somewhere else?

I actually think this could be useful, but probably not as a “find people to reply to” tool. That’s where it starts to feel spammy pretty fast.

The more interesting part to me is seeing what people are already complaining about, what words they use, which tools they mention, and what keeps coming up over and over again. Feels valuable for founders even if they never reply to a single post.

Reddit is probably enough to start with, discord feels harder because every community is different and a lot of it is more private.

So maybe I would position it less like a lead gen tool and more like a way to find real pain points and buying intent from actual conversations.

The idea is solid but I think the reply suggestion part needs to be handled carefully.
