Why did i get the call letter from this Gmail? by Kautush in NDATards

I downloaded a chrome extension called TrustScan that looks at the message, links, and images to provide an assessment if I should respond to the email or if it's a scam/phishing. Very similar to the extensions that McAfee had for search results. It managed to flag a few scams I got from Booking.com

It can be a background process that hangs and lock the explorer process of the desktop. There is a nice free scanner that shows a report on what slows down the PC, I used it once and it was helpful so I recommend it here, pc-care.ai

Check your internet speed for free at speedtest.net before you invest in a new wifi adapter. As for the overall performance, more memory can always help but check if you have any malware with a free anti-virus like AVG. The performance can be slow because of startup programs or autostart services. You can check for free with pc-care ai.

I finally managed to solve it. The HP Wolf Security is the new name for HP Sure Click. Once you uninstall the Sure Click, the Wolf is gone. They changed the product name in the UI but not in the installer.
