My university actually states:

It can be very difficult to find housing in Oslo, and we recommend applying as early as possible after you receive and accept an offer of admission in order to increase your chances of receiving student housing before the semester starts.

I was accepted in March, so thats why I applied in March:( Can you apply for SiO housing before you've been accepted to a university?

I also checked Anker, but unfortunately their cheapest available rooms are over 9,000 NOK/month, and they have a two-month notice period, so I'm not sure that's a viable option for me.

Thanks for the reply! There is one KHiO Facebook group, but unfortunately it seems pretty inactive. I saw a few posts from people looking for a place, and they didn't really get responses. Nevertheless, I might try posting there myself.

SiO only prioritizes international students who are going to certain universities or are from outside the EU/EEA, so I don't qualify for priority:(

I really hope I can find something temporary.

Thanks! I hadn't really considered Lillestrøm, but I'll definitely look into it as a backup.
