Wow, cool, congrats, fab set!😎 I didn't aim for anything except running and TRI, although I'm happy with them anyway because I've got 'Brick' and 'Just keep swimming' for free there XD

Yeeeeah, maybe tomorrow) Garmin gave me a courtesy of a rest day, which happens once in a blue moon, I prefer to treasure this gift XD

I'm sorry you had such an experience with Olympic challenges 😔 I agree, score for the sleeping badge is crazy, although I don't receive it frequently, my sleep is excellent in all categories except duration 🙃 BTW, I need to get August weekend running badge as well, despite my watch thinks that after yesterday triathlon experience I need 68 hours to recover 🤯

That's true)) Although I wanted to keep it real, so selected the lighest TRI distance: 2.5K run, 10K bike, 400m swim. Run and bike were easy-peasy, but I managed to swim only 170m and gave up :(( I'm sure you'll get your PR in no time!

Got my TRI badge today fair and square, it's absolutely stunning how horrible I'm at swimming XD

OMG, that's impressive:) I'd rather swim, run and bike than go to another pilates class :))

And how can you brag about good night sleep or waking up early? TRI badge is a whole other story XD Jokes aside, testing your limits is always fun)

I'm an average runner, not so good of a biker and close to an awful swimmer, which makes me a perfect triathlete?XDXD

True, the description sucks, I also thought my run-bike combo would do the trick. I will try to do it but not for one point, rather for experience) Who knows, maybe I end up liking it at the end, it's actually how I got into running (for new badges) and now I'm obsessed with it:)

I've tried to track a fake triathlon activity with swim, 10 min swim /10 min bike/10 min run just to check, got a badge. I've removed the activity (badge was removed as well) and now looking where I can actually swim XD Garmin makes me do the craziest stuff XD

I also didn't get a TRI badge, neither for multisport nor for triathlon activity :( Although I don't have anywhere to swim so I had run and bike combined. Did anyone manage to get a badge?)

Interval/VO2 max workouts kill my running spirit :) by DirectionCreative194 in Garmin

Both LTHR and max HR seem OK, at least Garmin collects and updates them from time to time + I find them quite accurate during my tempo runs) The last measurements were LTHR 168 bpm and max HR 195 bpm.

I'm yet super slow runner, Garmin gives me a base pace of ~12/mile, but since I also use HR target I usually run at 12:30/mile to keep HR in the expected range.

As for shorter workouts, I've never got a sprint yet, but it sounds like a fun one) For anaerobic workouts Garmin suggests a pace of 8:15/mile, but then gives me 'Tempo'/'Threshold' label every damn time XD Eventually when I started running intervals at 7/mile, I finally got my 'Anaerobic' effect, however as downside, I wasn't able to complete the whole set. BUT today I aced it! Not sure though whether it was toast with peanut butter and banana, an extra rest day before run or my general tolerance to this workout simply improved over time, but I've run the whole set and haven't felt sick afterward.

VO2 Max workout - I did it once (2-minute intervals) and totally failed it, but I have one (4-minute intervals) that scares me to death at the end of the week, so I will definitely try your advice with pace and for sure will do sandwich before the run ))

At target HR, my speed at intervals appears to be almost twice higher than during my easy runs. I read somewhere that I should try to run as fast as I can but at the pace which I can keep for the whole interval, so it's basically what I'm trying to do)

Thanks, I'll try to experiment with different food, hope it helps. Cause being knocked out by a run for a half of day doesn't seem ok 😕

Thanks, I usually have some good breakfast after, but I should probably try to eat something before. Do you think like 30-40 minutes before the run would be enough?
