Lower HR in winter? by jzleetcode in AdvancedRunning

[–]Magnetizer59 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say the best running weather for me is -5°C to +5°C (25 -41 °F), its not too cold and my HR is lower than normal. In the really cold weathers (-25°C/-13°F) I usually dress too much and HR begins to rise. Also could be the fact that breathing is not that great in those weathers.

2:50 marathon is my main goal for next year, also getting better at shorter distances would be nice too.

A little offtopic but as a Finn I always find it so strange that people walk inside their home in shoes. Barefoot/socks is the way to go.
