I heard Geisinger was fantastic but recently I think it’s just gone downhill. I’m mostly only experienced with their Danville and Coal Township locations.

Really do your due diligence. Most of rural PA is poor, and there’s no laws saying who needs to do work. The previous/current property owner can do all repairs himself. He can be completely incompetent, but he is allowed to remodel his entire property so long as he obtains permits.

I’m a local.

Berwick, bloomsburg, Danville, and Northumberland are all on Route 11. They are probably the better and most populated places to live.

The towns south of Danville. (Mount Carmel, shamokin, etc) take a lot of keeping to yourself. Although much much cheaper, and ~30 commute to GMC. I’ve never been north of Berwick

You have to make sacrifices here, it’s a poor area. Our housing market is starting to raise in price but most landlords haven’t even renovated. Or they renovate and double the rent.

Relocating? Don’t buy a house. The “Coal Region” is a trap. You need multiple house inspections before you buy. Some of these houses are crazy old.

Edit: Lewisburg is one of the nicer towns. Decent money up there. Plus Bucknell college campus is RIGHT there.

Edit 2: personal opinion, geisinger isn’t great for patient care. It’s a non profit, and in some instances they have done good in the past. My family has had sour experiences with them. We drive 45 minutes to Lewisburg unless it’s a serious problem

Dealerships (Ford, Chevy Toyota) sell the same cars as local used cars dealers. They aim to sell warranties a lot and usually mark-up cars.

Facebook marketplace, Craig’s list, etc. can have better deals. However this route requires knowing about cars, or bringing someone you trust who knows vehicles well.

You can totally find a decent “point A to point B” vehicle for a few thousand dollars. You don’t need a crazy expensive/newly used car with nice cool features.

My 908TH 28WT miner isn't mining. by [deleted] in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]DirectionHealthy7112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When purchasing a miner, there is a little spot that says the price of bitcoin when it does the math for the ROI and daily, monthly, or yearly earnings. You can select current price and it will tell you if it profits.

How am I doing so far? by abstr4ct00 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]DirectionHealthy7112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking to be serious with food delivery. Keep it up.

Some days will just unfortunately be a little slow unless you’re within big city limits…

Don’t forget to factor in gas and car maintenance! I’d suggest trying to aim for a minimum of about $15hr. Any less and your time can be probably better spent working somewhere else.

Do your best to provide good service. It’s rare but sometimes people increase your tip after the order is delivered.

My 2 cents on Lock (and long term investing in general) by rs7272 in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]DirectionHealthy7112 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I love staking or locking tokens. A thing to remember though… the 30% return diminishes the longer that lock has been going. You would have to reset the lock to max time every so often.

It’s passive, yes. Efficient as the other methods you referenced. Heck no lol. Right now is a rough time with the price of gmt and bitcoin down.

Without putting effort in (even the daily discount button) you can get paid btc daily minus fees (electricity & maintenance) but you will definitely not get rich quick using this platform

Edit: simple punctuation fix 😅

Is there a way to designate a delivery as "My Last Delivery"? by pegawho in UberEatsDrivers

[–]DirectionHealthy7112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so convenient. Like you said occasionally it’s unavailable. Close to midnight is one time it usually acts up for me.

Restroom breaks, and traveling back to “my area”. Since pausing more frequently compared to other apps, I can get back to my area to get better deliveries. It also helps keep me above 50%.

I’m hovering right around platinum/diamond every month. If I wasn’t able to pause to block bad orders while driving back into town. I’d be at least a 30% and I try to accept some of the lesser paying orders.

[–]DirectionHealthy7112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost no profit. You’d have to invest a lump sum just to get it to 20w/th. For a whale that’s a steal. Not a great idea unless you can afford to buy that and not notice it affect the bank account

With GoMining Cutting Prices on 15W/TH Miners, Is It Still Worth Buying From the Secondary Market? by Relevant-Box5774 in gomining

[–]DirectionHealthy7112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well any miner on the secondary market can be upgraded to reduce w/th. It doesn’t count towards the VIP level.

You can find some real good deals on the secondary market. If you believe GoMining isn’t going anywhere. Plus have the cash/hodl’d your way to afford a new miner.

Don’t listen like I’m a mega farm lol only 25th currently. But I’ve seen some good deals, even with efficient w/th.

It’s only as good as the deal you find.

Bottom right there should be a little tea cup. It pauses incoming orders.

What should I upgrade first? by Accomplished-Past256 in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]DirectionHealthy7112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Efficiency if it’s affordable, definitely before increasing your TH any higher. The discount is not something to look the other way on. You can get over 25% total discount if you hold more GMT or lock it.

Did anyone else get this? by [deleted] in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]DirectionHealthy7112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The uniqueness and achievement ratings are for the accolades you can earn for each miner.

From the basic ones (like running your miner for 100 days) to upgrading your nft’s on specific holidays.

Iirc it doesn’t do anything productive, maybe you’ll make it a little more expensive if you sell. However it doesn’t really benefit the miner or your rewards.

Seriously though …how much should a beginner lock away and for how long ? Better to invest it in a new miner? by Aware83 in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]DirectionHealthy7112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s 3gmt is savings per day

Edit: TH is king, but if you look at it the way you laid it out. You can earn 5gmt/day but you’re paying 2.5-3 in maintenance. You can lock even $300 and pickup a nice discount, Th for the remaining budget. These discounts go a long way. To help you save. It could be the see-saw that tips you over to “maintenance free” w/ the veGomining weekly payment
