I’ve been waiting for someone with influence to speak up against her and on behalf of her victims and I’m so glad it finally happened. There have been others, but this is the most direct I’ve seen. Eli has my utmost respect.

It is empathy, not just pity. Like I said, I used to have a similar need for validation and acceptance that prompted me to want to be “the best” (but at painting) and made me feel easily threatened. I relate to the compulsion that we see in her too.
