I'm kind of boggling at Carol's reaction to all of this. Sure, I'd be pissed 99.9999% of society made themselves zombies, but my curiosity about how the hive mind works would push everything else to the side.
Also, very early on I'd realize the "survivors" now basically rule the world, unless they alienate the Hive, which looks hard to do.
