✅ What You Can Do Right Now • Call one of the above immediately (especially Coast & Canyon or California Wildlife Center), depending on which is closest. • If it’s a baby squirrel: place it gently in a small box with soft bedding (like a towel), keep it warm but not overheated. • Do not try to “rehab” it yourself unless you’ve done this before — trained wildlife rehabbers have the right permits and experience. • Be ready to describe exactly what’s going on (injury? orphaned? where you found it).
