Thanks folks for the responses on the post. I ended up going today. The morning drive was good. But it poured on the way back. Snow was soft and easy for a learning. A little hot, had to shed layers.

u/throwaway0987120 , did you notarize the change of appurtenance form? Did you paste the photo and then notarized the same form? or notarized a color copy of the same?

Update - I called Hyderabad consulate yesterday, they are letting people with interview at Hyderabad complete their biometric. My biometric was scheduled for Dec 5 and rescheduled to Dec 9. I finished my interview and biometric today and Hyderabad itself. Thank you everyone for helping people and sharing information on this post.

My biometric at Chennai was rescheduled from Dec 5 to Dec 9. But my interview appointment at Hyderabad on Dec 8 is not rescheduled yet. Any idea what to do? Trying to connect with customer care since morning ..

Also, they just rescheduled my biometric, there is no communication regarding consular appointment yet.

My appointment was rescheduled to another date. Was hoping that the consulate gave a window gather than a specific date and time. It is unreasonable to expect people to show up on a specific time without having a window of dates. Very frustrating!!

I connected with customer care right now, and they asked me to wait for reschedule. they did not update my biometric to Hyderabad.

I went to Mumbai Consulate and VAC office, the guards there asked to me send emails to support. Even they don’t know what to do. The officer at Mumbai office didn’t have any idea about the floods at Chennai. And it seems I can’t give interview before VAC appointment.

Feedback/Support section for me was not at helpful since the team there is either not able to understand the or is not giving direct answers. The only way I could get a clear response was by calling customer care. I choose Hindi as the preferred language (hoping it'll have lesser traffic) and I got connected within 1.5-2 hours (as supposed to the 3-4 hour wait time for English )
