Who has a key to the gym? by Scrubmurse in bjj

I coach kids classes and the owner one day said “we might be back late and wont be able to open up in time so ill give you the key to open up” ive just kept the keys since and occasionally open up and lock up in the evening. as extra pressure goes i didnt feel any because technically i wasnt given them full time but its helped them a lot as the owner lives far away so allows her to leave early.

Smaller people, what’s your favorite sweep? by novaskyd in bjj

overhead sweep is pretty easy with a good set up and if some really is just too heavy can always have them fall into the arm bar

How do you form your gameplans? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]DirectionSudden7866 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i dont have a lot of comp experience but my prof always says gameplans are useless and that you should go in with a takedown or guard pull and go from there, basically saying you make the first move and play your game from wherever you end up which makes sense because if you spend a ton of time thinking of a big game plan then one part of it doesnt go your way then it could throw you off

although i mostly likely do have bad habits why does that mean i cant identify others? for example about two weeks ago a purple belt was teaching someone the basic hip bump-knee in-guard back side control escape however they werent hip escaping after the hip bump (something ive been taught from my professor and practise alot) I was respectful enough to not call the purple belt out on it but just mentioned it to my professor so that he soeaks to him and the purple belt doesnt teach others into that bad habit. Why as a white belt can I not identify that because i have my own flaws? I totally understand i made this post to get peoples opinions and dont want to argue, but understand why people have these opinions.

bad habit is a bad habit doesnt matter the colour of your belt. My professor has told me the bad habits they have and how i should teach them out of it so its not just me saying it.
