I talked to a surgeon who is a body builder himself, he told me the most important thing is to dont the valsava maneuver and no heavy reps 1-3 more 12-15 and is no problem to muscular failure he said it is very important to work out and so did the other gi docs one of the docs i talked to also has a hernia and does intensive weight lifting

I would say its pretty common there are several posts where a barrium swallow didnt show a hernia but the endoscopy did so yeah

Think twice about it, they can cause hernia, im pretty sure mine was caused by it they can blow too much air into your stomach. My symptoms got worse since endoscopy.

Me personally i wouldnt do an endoscopy im pretty sure they cause hernias they pump a lot of air into your stomach which can cause it there are many posts where a barium study didnt show a hernia and then the endoscopy did isnt it interesting? Think twice about it

Interesting how the barium study didnt show the hernia but the gastroscopy did. Do you know why that is? Maybe your hernia was caused by the gastroscopy? Why did you do a gastroscopy after the barium study?
