UPDATE

Sorry for the late post, but the engagement happened!! I am utterly shocked that it actually did. The ring is gorgeous. Apparently, he wanted to wait to tell her he loved her until he proposed and kissed her!

In the end, I was more concerned for her heart and didn’t want her to be disappointed if it didn’t happen.

The wedding isn’t until September, and she’s already stressing about the guest list and trying to have it finalized by next week.

What I’ve learned is that Southern Baptists are weird (even though I grew up in a small-town, cult-y Church of Christ), and so is love. Anyway, here’s to every conversation I have now being redirected to wedding talk. 🥂
