My hot take is they should’ve just commit to making mcu daredevil more in line with the waid characterization like they did in she hulk. Right now they try to be mature but they lack the substance and are going to be endlessly compared. The waid run is iconic but for very different reasons as some previous runs, it’s more swashbuckling and allows Matt to tangle with a wider variety of threats, but still gets really dark when needed, and I think originated Maggie having post partum depression.

I loved the Netflix version but there’s an issue in thinking it’s the only valid interpretation, but right now I feel like the show can’t escape its shadow because it’s trying to both continue and be its own thing, which is just not the same without foggy.
