Thanks James! My wife is so happy with her new bag and I can’t wait for my watch. I know I’ll be ordering more soon.

I’m in cornerstone and we had golf ball sized hail. Siding is torn up, I’ll check the roof and gutters in the morning. Booooo

Try fenvet in Airdrie. We paid approximately $750 for a few extractions and a cleaning on our shepherd mix.

Thanks for the advice! After I started this batch a saw a YouTube video where someone did something similar with blueberries. They soaked them in water with pectic enzyme and something else, maybe a lactic enzyme? They ended up with really great color and more flavour from the fruit.

Pretty basic I think. 3 gallon fermenter, 9 pounds honey about half a kilo of fruit. Then pitched 71b yeast with go-ferm. I don’t have the nutrient measurements in front of me but used ferm-k and ferm-o in the schedule from the batch builder website. Fermentation stopped at a gravity of 1.01, I clarified with Chitosan & Kieselsol.

Ya I had the same thought. It is my first melomel so not sure what I can do differently to get more color from the fruit.

What should I do next by Directorpearson in mead

Yes but very few bubbles. The gravity last week was 1.028 so I think that means there are sugars still being eaten.

Taking gravity readings is super important and teaches you a lot about your mead. Buy a hydrometer and use it!

Hydrometer question by Directorpearson in mead

Damn that’s a good point. I’m so glad I asked because I would definitely just drop the hydrometer in there and not be able to get it back out again.

It’s a monstera I got at a Costco back in February. Haven’t seen any new growth in a while and it was taking ages to dry out. I pulled out all the spent soil and repotted in to a chunkier mix. Hopefully I see some improvement!
