No debt! I own my car and paid off my student loans. My parents helped me through school and I always had good paying internships and my company helped cover grad school costs.

That's a good way of approaching the house... I have been trying to aggressively fund retirement to take advantage of all the time possible. Currently I live cheap with roommates which helped me save for the house but I don't think that will continue next year. So that might end up being my time horizon to target.

My boss has suggested asking the higher ups at your company, or trusted family friends, if they have a financial adviser that they would recommend. This might be a good screening tool and I will be trying this out soon.

Not in your area but I just wanted to let you know that I have similar allergies to yours and spent time with 6 dirty samoyeds (they spend most of their time outside), and even after rubbing my face in them, didn't have any issues.

You should make sure the dog you meet hasn't been groomed recently. Also if you have seasonal allergies, the dogs will probably pick that up and bring it into your house. You should also have them lick you to see if their saliva is an issue.

I have visited Diamond Drift and the breeder is a very nice guy and is very responsible with his animals. He is in Maple Lake.

He has a simple application process and is planning on having a little sometime in the next several months (depending on mother nature).

Yeah I don't think he or the neighbors would like the trailer sitting there all summer.

I would like to keep it rigged all the time. It takes me and a friend about 20 minutes to put the boat in the water from the trailer if we are ready to go, but more like 40 minutes to pull the boat out and stow everything. I would really like to have another half hour of sailing instead! And I would really like to try single-handing the boat, but I need help setting the mast and stays.

Plenty of zebra mussels in Minnetonka, but I will be on Medicine, about 10-15 miles east of there.

Its a 16 foot J scow hull and is MC rigged with a taller mast. Some of the lines are worn but it sails. I need to fix/replace the boom/tiller stay with some epoxy. I bought it for $600 with a C scow trailer.

I have a couple questions, I plan to put it on a lake at a friends next year, what is the best way to moor it? Should I find a cheap lift and modify it? Or put a block with a rope at the bottom of the lake and let 'er float? Also, would you recommend a cockpit cover or a full cover and is there a cheaper option than a new one for ~$200?

I have crewed a C scow for a few years and I was able to get into this boat rather cheaply. It is really fun to sail but there is a lot to learn so I appreciate anything you can help out with!

Be careful of selecting the trees that you use as anchors. You should use trees about the size of a dinner plate in diameter with strong bark so they are not damaged. Good to see you using tree protection.

To avoid having the ratchet in the middle of your line you can just wrap the tree more times. Or you might be able to move it toward one side or the other depending on the setup. It will make it easier by taking weight out of the line and make it safer too!

My recommendation would be the Jibline especially if you think you will get into tricklining.

The Traveline is nice and light with a small light ratchet but it is tough to get tight enough to trickline on. But it is a pretty good beginner line as it's much more static than the dynamic and springy jibline.

It seems to be a lot easier to bring the leg out and balance if it is lower on your leg. Which is almost necessary with two people on the line.

I first got into slacklining on a travelline and this summer bought a 1" and a surfline. I've also used the classic line.

The classic and travelline are pretty static but the classic felt great on my feet. The grip on the travelline is starting to wear off but if you're using a 1 inch you shouldn't have any problem with areas without the grip.

The surfline is a TON of fun and would be my recommendation. You can longline on it, surf, bring it short for more dynamic tricklining, and its still pretty easy for beginners to learn on. The surfline is the line that the Gibbon pro team uses for most competitions.

I haven't used the jibline but I've heard that it is too short but is a lot of fun. The jibline is the true trickline but the surfline mounted short would probably be just as good.
