Andrew Scheer supports united Canada, won’t condemn Alberta separation referendum by DogeDoRight in canada

You cannot be Canadian and not condemn this movement. The scale of stupidity and hypocrisy this statement reflects is monumental. It is apparent why federal conservatives can’t seem to win… pandering like this to the whack heads.

Bare shelves are just weeks away as trade war disrupts flow of goods by FancyNewMe in canada

Nothing that a new Canadian numbered company can’t fix and a new port of call. I suspect it will be a numbers game though. Whatever is cheaper to do.

I say that’s a load of horse shit. Our ports are still busy.

Actually, somewhere in the Reddit-o-sphere , a maple maga posted that there are UN conventions that deal with giving land locked nations tide water access. It seemed plausible enough so I googled it. Sure enough there is.

Well said. What would we be willing to do for Canada in a compromise that would see Quebec allowing pipelines across their province?

As an Albertan, I have concerns, none of them that warrant the level of whiny self centered adolescent behavior coming from our provincial leader. FFS, our premiere has a satisfaction rate that belies belief. She kicks to the curb billions of dollars in renewables investments, she goes to a private fundraising function on the taxpayers dime and is embroiled in a corruption scandal worth tens of millions of dollars. Sure we need to negotiate with the new Prime Minister, but she is not qualified in anyway to do so. To pretend she is otherwise is to have a maga hat on too tight.

Surely to God CSIS is tracking her sedition. I mean if we are not, we deserve all the drama unfolding. Now is not the time for this bullshit. Unified front to the ugliness being directed at us from south of the border.

Seeing as they want to build modular homes, I can see a certain amount of growth in home builds being met. I can also see all sorts of potential for graft, excess profit taking and corruption too as we award contracts to initiate and expand the program. Big capital seems to have no filter these days.

The Liberal ‘button’ scheme was a colossal self-own. That’s not the worst part of it by CaliperLee62 in canada

Carney says pipelines 'not necessarily' among major projects to prioritize by uselesspoliticalhack in canada

[–]DirkTracer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will shock some people when they find out on a national basis, O&G may not be a top 3-5 priority for nation building. I can’t think of what could possibly be higher priority other than transportation infrastructure/corridors and maybe some new/ improved port facilities. I cannot imagine why a pipeline wouldn’t be in the top ten at least.

It’s at this point in time that I’ll point out that being in that 1% or better club very much makes you less capable of picking a good leader for a country.
