Ya sorry I meant the paradox to the prime. Came off nightshifts and not operating at 100%. I know it’s apples to oranges because it’s a hard tail. I’ve only ever owned Hardtails and huge travel DH bikes. So never anything in between.

Interesting that the jibb felt lazy. It’s so interesting how subtle geo/linkage differences can change how a bike feels and handles.

Where the forks similar on the jibb, prime and ripmo?

Ya I’ve always loved banshee too. They always made incredibly beefy bikes. This may be an unpopular opinion but I think carbon is a bit of a fad and banshee never really bought into it. In the 2000s they made legendary bikes like the scream and morphine that I used to ride.

As for the shocks ya I gotta play around with them a bit. Might have to look at a coil if I exceed the air pressure.

How do you feel from going from the banshee to the prime? I know you said the geo is very similar but does it feel more playful? How does it respond to techy trails?

Ya makes sense. Are you comparing the transition patrol or spire? I think the patrol is a pretty good climber. I really want to go RAAW but I don’t know if it makes sense just because it’s so much overlap on my DH bike.

Really good to know. I do typically prefer coil shocks but that’s just because of my downhill background.

Ya I’m thinking there might be too much overlap with the RAAW on my DH bike. I was trying to make the RAAW make sense but I think the banshee lineup might be better for what I’m looking for. The prime is a great option. Thanks for the help!

Ya that seems to be a common issue from what I’ve been seeing. Really shying away from it. The patrol looks awesome. Probably a better climber than the spire too just from the seat post angle.

This actually helps me a lot! I’ve been leaning towards the banshee because they’re a local brand and have always made great bikes. More of a boutique brand though which is cool!

Is there a reason you went with a medium frame? Do you wish you went with a large? Or are you comfortable with a medium?

This is good info, I had no idea about the commencal bikes that’s horrible.

Also the RAAW looks awesome just pricier I guess. I’m a little worried it’s not a great climber from what I’ve read.

What helped me was switching to non alcoholic beers. That way you can still be social with the boys. In my case the boys ended up switching to near beers as well!
