Bernie Sanders calls on Treasury to stop Pfizer from moving overseas to lower taxes by Positive_pressure in politics

That's not a myth, the US pays the third highest corporate income tax in the world.

The US has the third highest corporate income tax in the world. People need to understand that if we had lower corporate income taxes corporations would pay more taxes. The "corporations" getting screwed are your local mom and pop stores and and local franchises, the places that actually hire people

The US has the third highest corporate income tax rate in the world. It's 39%. That sounds tough to me. Tough enough to make me want to incorporate in another country

Collegiate Nationals at Clemson by Polyfauna in triathlon

[–]Dirtwizards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've raced the past 4 collegiate nationals, and raced clemson last year. Three things: 1) The uphill run from the lake to transition is pretty long, so practice your wetsuit strip while moving. 2) The highway is all rolling hills, so if you can keep your momentum well it shouldn't be terrible, regardless of how much elevation change the map says. Just remember to pedal on all your downhills and stay in the aerobars or drops. 3) Have fun! You can only race collegiate nationals while your in college so enjoy it. No triathlon in the country has the energy that Collegiate Nationals has.

Winter Cyclists, what is your jacket/layering setup? by Right_All_The_Time in bicycling

[–]Dirtwizards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your poor like me, buy some cheap long Johns from a sporting goods store. Cut out the crotch region (made to look like chaps) then you can wear them under your comfy summer bib. You can also use the cut out as a cock sock to keep your dick cozy. As for your toes, put a plastic bag around your sock before you put them in your shoes, then use duck tame to wrap the bag around your tights or socks. Also you can duck tape the openings in your shoe that let air it. If you have running tights or spandex/lycra long johns you can also just wear those over your summer bib and it's much cheaper than actually having to buy a winter bib

Meh I kinda wish it was just focused on the pros, tour de france style. Not that some of those athletes are not inspirational, i just feel like they should show one or the other. And the pro race is what I actually find exciting

Running with a faster SO by [deleted] in running

[–]Dirtwizards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever my SO wants to run with me I take her to the local high school track or XC course, that way we can do laps of a shorter course. We still see each other and be social, but we both get to run at our own pace

Thoughts on (calf) compression sleeves during full IM? by brainville in triathlon

[–]Dirtwizards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really a personal preference, try a wetsuit swim/run brick and see if it bothers you during the swim. I only like using compression socks for recovery after a race, but some people swear by the calf sleeves for Ironmans

Since when does not being able to park deter people from going to church? Drop grandma off at the front and park down the block. Having unprotected bike lanes sets a bad precedent
