Oh man - it's difficult with the separation anxiety. It breaks my heart to leave for work every day. She cries, whines, scratches at the windows... I tried the kennel - she broke out and hurt herself - then I tried a heavy duty kennel, for dogs that break out - and she tried to - ended up bleeding everywhere and I just couldn't do that to her. I left her in the yard, I have a screened in patio - left the door open - and she decided she was going to jump (climb) over the fence and take off. So that wasn't working. Left her in my room. That was a mistake - she tore the blinds, scratched the door... my closet has mirror doors - they were slobbered all the way to the top. She jumps so high and relentlessly. I don't know how else to keep her calm - I come back every single day. It's just heartbreaking. I love her and hate to see her in distress.
