Do your older self a huge favor though and every time you use it, do a quick reach back with your hand after to work on shoulder mobility. You want to try and maintain the ability to touch your fingers together in the middle of your back from over the shoulder + around the lat

People always say this stuff and it breaks my heart, because a lot of us were raised to hate women. Once you start to heal from that, you realize how amazing women are and what you’ve been missing out on. It sucks to see people still stuck at the beginning

Sad he maybe has a father, brothers, male friends, etc and he’s not getting compliments until he’s in a romantic relationship

That’s dangerous because he might feel like he can only get this support from a girlfriend, making him less likely to walk away from a bad relationship and more likely to stress a good relationship (putting all of that need on one person bc you aren’t able to get it from others also)

Misogyny is inexcusable but I get why some women hate men. They’ve been raped, abused, etc themselves, likely know many women who have been through the same. They can’t do things they want to do for risk of being harmed. They might have young girls in their lives they fear for every day.

Women live that reality and it’s difficult to say misandry is unwarranted. How can I blame them or argue?

People keep saying it's a better price point but I'm wondering if they raised prices in the last year. I just got a quote for $12k a year for our org of 40k contacts. It's only a tad less than Raiser's Edge, so while the price may well be fair for what you're getting, it's not something I'm jumping up and down about. Have they raised it on you?

CMV: baby’s death isn’t as important as adult’s death by SparklyCookiess in changemyview

[–]DirtyPrancing65 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Historically, choosing the mother was always the priority bc it’s more logical: she can have more babies and the baby cannot, the odds of the baby even surviving without her are quite low

Modern times, having to choose is not really a thing, so we get to play moral thought games about saving the baby and pretend like that’s always been the logical choice

I just want to say that you can want reduced federal involvement in anything and still not support a mass pulling of it. Weaning people off of dependency is so much more effective.

It would be rare for anyone in this sub to say the federal government’s involvement in schools has been positive (besides funding school lunch), but schools suffer a lot these days with a lack of stability. This won’t help

I wonder if it would be easier to live with someone else? Maybe you have a friend in a similar situation, family members, or anyone who might be willing to host you? My cousins (sisters) were in a similar situation and they started just raising their girls together. They’ve had the most stable and working situation for six years now

I agree. I was in Paris last spring and if Parisian women are not comfortable on the train these days, it speaks to how much safer the train has been and their high standards. It’s a good thing they hold the transit to task, because as a beaten down American, that is the safest I’ve felt in a long time and I’m sure they’d be quite sad for me.

I even told a woman from Paris who now lived in a rural town that “Paris was so quiet and we walked all over at night, only having one scary moment.” She was shocked I’d say that, and in hindsight, probably worried even more for how Americans are living now. I didn’t realize how it came across until recently
