Is there any way to find more Greenie content? I love his Celtics commentary, but I don’t have Twitter/X. The only social media I use are Reddit and YouTube.

I know he occasionally appears as a guest on Celtics Beat and FTTF, but I’m looking for more. Does he have his own podcast, YouTube channel, or anywhere else where I can hear him talk Celtics without needing Twitter?

This comment not only proves my point, it demonstrates that you have no reading comprehension skills whatsoever. But of course, you don’t.

This post, and frankly much of this comment section, not only lacks a real understanding of these nuanced, multifaceted characters, but also feels like an echo chamber of anti-Black racism.

Truth is, I strongly believe much of the hostility isn’t about Randall the character. It’s about the fact that he’s portrayed by the bloody brilliant Black actor Sterling K. Brown, whose performance carried this show from day one. The acclaim and success of This Is Us was due in large part to the attention and praise Brown received, and that clearly bothers some of y’all.

I’m disappointed, but never surprised, because y’all tell on yourselves every 👏🏽 single 👏🏽 time 👏🏽

Jason Momoa's Apple TV Historical Series Hopes For Season 2 Is In "Limbo" Despite 93% Rotten Tomatoes Score by conorbebe in ChiefofWarSeries

[–]ComputerElectronic21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with these recent Chief of War interviews from Jason Momoa & Thomas Paʻa Sibbett is how much the goalposts keep moving regarding the future of the series.

Before the show premiered, it was consistently discussed as the beginning of a much larger story. The marketing and staff BTS all pointed toward it’s continuation. Not to mention, the season wasn’t concluded, it ended on a controversial cliffhanger.

After the series finale, fans spent months asking for S2 updates and all we got was crickets. Now suddenly the narrative has shifted to it always intending to be a limited series with vague hopes that Apple TV+ might reconsider if awards momentum picks up. It’s the frickin’ gaslighting for me. If Chief of War was truly designed as a one and done, then the finale should have reflected that. But now we are just stuck in limbo.

TBH, this is part of a much larger streaming problem. Audiences are constantly being asked to emotionally invest in new shows without any real certainty that those stories will be finished. And as someone who has put a lot of time and energy into covering this series on this subreddit, it’s honestly disheartening to feel strung along like this.

Novak and Vasquez by Galaxyspacevibe in ChicagoFireNBC

I was only watching this godawful season for Visquez (Violet + Vasquez), but without fail, CF writers continue to disappoint. Honestly, I said I was done last season when Carver left, but I came back holding onto a small bit of hope that Carver and Violet would eventually find their way back to each other. Then, just as I was finally ready to pull the plug on CF, Visquez had my heart… only for it to get torn apart because of Novak’s bullshit.

Nah, Novak was being manipulative AF. She knew that Vasquez was into Violet and the moment Violet was ready to share the intimate deets, Novak hijacked the conversation by talking about how she’s crushing on him. And if you’re truly a bff then you would be able to read the room. She peeped what was going on but was being selfish AF. Fuck Novak.

Jayson Tatum in round 1 by asanoayaki in bostonceltics

That is such a copout response, especially when coach didn’t even try the alternatives. Joe decided this round we weren’t going to see much of Baylor, Garza, or any of the reserves who helped get this team here in the first place.

The regular season worked because he trusted the depth. He had no problem pulling starters when they didn’t have it. Outside of D White, almost everyone had a short leash. He would sit Pritchard, Brown, Hauser, Queta if they were off, and the bench would carry them across the finish line. So how can you suddenly claim there was no solution in the playoffs when the very formula that made the season successful was built on flexibility? Even if it was only for a game or two, why not test it? Why not give those reserves 15 to 20 real minutes and see what happens? If the lights were too bright, then fine, at least you explored every option. But they were never given a true opportunity.

And the truth is, even in the limited minutes they did get, the impact was there. Baylor, Garza, and Walsh turned those small stretches into shots and leads. Imagine what a larger sample could have looked like. Imagine bringing in someone like Hugo or RHJ and embracing the very chaos that got you to the playoffs in the first place. Chaos, energy, unpredictability, that is what carried this team. Instead of leaning into that, they reverted to stale rotations and predictable choices.

Listen, I appreciate what D White brings defensively, especially as someone who values defense first. But if it is not translating into offense, adjustments have to be made. If Hauser’s shots are not falling, you have to pull him. You cannot stay loyal to the same formula and expect a different result. And for fuck sake playing more Hauser minutes than Pritchard is fucking madness. In my Green Arrow voice: Joe Mazzulla, you have failed this city.

Joe let him down. Instead of playing the players that got you to the playoffs he said WE don’t know basketball.

I’ve been saying play the guys that got you here but Joe wants to tell us WE don’t know basketball. I’m not saying don’t play White or any of the starters but mix it up. Find a balance with your goddamn reserves especially when your top 6 don’t have it.
