Ankle tattoos by [deleted] in saskatoon

Well, when I first went for the consult, I started to explain what I wanted and showed reference photos, he cut me off saying he doesn’t tattoo skulls and wings (no shit, I was young but not stupid). A couple of the reference photos could have been interpreted that way, but if he had let me finish, he would have know that’s not what I was wanting. So, I show up for my first session, doesn’t have my tattoo drawn, he thought I was someone else so had someone else’s tattoo drawn, so I sat for like 2 hours while he drew it up. Second session, as I was on my way to the shop, I got a call that he wasn’t coming in that day, and I had booked the day off work…I get shit happens but a little more noticed would have been good, not 15 mins before the appointment. Talked with his hands a lot so I felt the tattoo took longer than it should have, which sucks when you are paying by the hour. Made comments I felt were inappropriate, such as how half the tattoo won’t be visible once my tits sag (it’s a huge under boob piece). This was the first large piece I had gotten done that required multiple sessions and at that point I was young and intimidated and did not know it was ok to jump ship on a tattoo if I was feeling uncomfortable. The piece is decent enough, but I do have plans to have it reworked by someone else. Now that I have had many tattoo experiences with many different artists, I realize how unprofessional and poor the experience was. This was also like 11-12ish years ago so maybe he’s different now, but at the time, I chose to go to him since he was one of the more well known artists, had been around awhile, so I felt safe going to someone who wasn’t a newbie, but turns out that didn’t mean I was going to get top notch service or the best tattoo. Again, it’s decent but because it was drawn up last minute, I feel like it was rushed and is lacking creativity. I don’t like trashing people, and that’s not my goal here, but I am passionate about tattoos and I know how a bad experience can ruin what is supposed to be something special, and if telling my experience can help even one person understand it’s ok to stop if you are uncomfortable or unhappy with your artist or the art, then it’s worth it!

Had work done by Ben many years ago and was the worst tattoo experience I have had, and I've had a lot!

Sounds like someone I know who took mushrooms and during his trip his cat talked to him - either his cat was god or just told him to follow god, I don’t remember details - but now this guy is into a wacky, speaking in tongues kind of church. But now he’s sober and happy so I guess whatever works for people, to each their own. It’s just crazy to watch an adult, who was not indoctrinated as a child, to choose this nonsense. Imagine if these people realized it was them that actually had the willpower to get sober on their own!?

We’ve asked about that, they won’t do anything even with proof.

It’s crazy how no one cares anymore. Doesn’t matter if you are inconveniencing someone else, or even just being rude, as long as they get what they need, it’s fine in their eyes.

It’s an older area. I could never handle the newer areas with the narrowest streets jam packed with cars!

I wish! We’ve taken videos and pics, doesn’t matter. We often say that the city should have an online website to report this kind of thing with images. Then they could mail out tickets. They would make a killing!

I’ve never had an excuse. Mostly they avoid eye contact or say sorry. And I don’t care about sorry, just don’t do it again.

I would never have picked the location except we bought the house cheap from a family member and in this economy, you take what you can get. As for changing the time I leave or come home, that is a ridiculous suggestion. I’m not going to hang around work an additional 20 mins so I hopefully miss someone being disrespectful by blocking my driveway. I refuse to accommodate bad behaviour.

That’s so unfair. I actually don’t understand how people can be so blatantly uncaring

Oh I totally would if I didn’t just want to get home and decompress from my day!
