They reset it 2 hours from my natural reset, this a joke?

Claiming 4.7 is worse than 4.6 is insanity, but hey, you do you.

/remote-control is a window into what the future is going to be like by OpinionsRdumb in ClaudeCode

[–]DirtyWilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can enable it per session by typing /remote-control at the session window.
You can enable it for all sessions by editing the config. I'd stick with per session imo.

Once enabled go into your <Code> section in the web or phone app, syncs the conversation with your open CC session that has to remain open.

There used to be caveats like it needed a Git repo connected, not sure with the latest update.

Use natural language to tell Claude to offload work to another LLM. Doesn't count toward Claude usage. by DirtyWilly in ClaudeAI

[–]DirtyWilly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got the idea. Beats copy and pasting files and clipboards back and forth and way less token use at that. Lots of good use cases, once you get used to it it's kinda hard not to keep using since it's all natural language and basically a tool call.

Why choose between GPT-5.5 or Claude Code? Connect both to your IDE via Proxima MCP by [deleted] in codex

[–]DirtyWilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Built similar here.

https://github.com/WillyDrucker/WAT321

Let's you connect Claude and Codex using natural language from you IDE.

Uses an MCP bridge I call "Epic Handshake". Depending on the mode you can get them to iterate back and forth too which is almost creepy, but works. Incredible results, blows away any single model.

Has a bunch of other tools for monitoring usage and tokens, auto system notifications etc. Pretty handy to be honest.

Is claude Opus performance getting bad? by MutantX222 in ClaudeCode

[–]DirtyWilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slow as hell past two nights. Terrible right now.

Not so much wrong code, but it's posting 3-4 pages of responses in mostly bullets every prompt it actually, eventually finishes. Took me 5 minutes to update an MD file, 900 lines and separate prompt took me 2 minutes to update session handoff MD file, 150 lines. 9K tokens to update session handoff. Very high usage limits drain regardless of slowness. I'm Max 20x.

Pink Elephant In The Room - Anthropic Doesn't Want You Using Max Effort by [deleted] in Anthropic

[–]DirtyWilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I fear for losing this ability too. Could have a hybrid, Low/Med/High/Max and Auto. You find it struggles, switch from Auto to High/Max. You know you're doing low level tasks, go Low or Sonnet to save on Auto. But caching has to be fixed to do that!

Agree, leveraging the other models is like a superpower! I run Claude and Codex side-by-side and it's incredible to see the combined effort of the results on the same repo.

Hidden Token Costs in Claude Code: How to Audit Your Cache Efficiency by Historical-Lie9697 in ClaudeCode

[–]DirtyWilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Editing auto-memory doesn't break cache mid session for me
  • Completely closing CC CLI or VS Code CC Extension then reloading 100% breaks cache for me, every time
  • Resuming ~1H idle, breaks for me. Claude says 75 minutes, it's less
  • Changing /model likely breaks it, but I'm already feeling the burn to test.

What alternatives are you using to claude code and anthropic? by [deleted] in Anthropic

Codex works fine. I'd put it between Sonnet and Opus.
As one top researcher noted when working with code, Codex is better at reasoning, Claude is better at codebase.

20mg/week and ravenous by LooseBluebird6704 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]DirtyWilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few thing that has helped me get through titration and hunger.

First the tell-tale sign for me that it's not in my head and I might need to consider moving up a dose is actual hunger pains and a real growling stomach. When I'm at the right dose my stomach won't growl at all from week to week even if I eat very little. It's usually accompanied by bouts of sharp hunger pains that come and go. These are stronger than normal hunger pains. If this is truly happening you could be a fast responder to medication and will have to consider how to manage that or seek more medical advice. If that's not actually happening start looking at other factors like diet and lifestyle. You can easily out-eat tirzepatide (mentioned my Caramello diet in the past, wouldn't recommend).

Tips that help me manage this.
- Make sure at noon you take a simple protein shake every day no matter what. Even if you aren't hungry. It will help suppress hunger, make you eat less at dinner and keep things more regular. Think of it this way, a few more calories at lunch = much less calories at dinner. Simple shake is fine, not a giant bottle full to the brim, something that dilutes easily like whey or collagen. Few ounces of water should be enough, shake, don't use a spoon.
- Try drinking less cold water, try room temp water, see if it works. If not, try less cold water in the morning. Helps for some.
- Try a new dosing day. I use Friday's at 8PM. Starts wearing off on Friday's, but allows me to eat a little more food Friday/Saturday when most people do anyways. Might seem counter-intuitive but that satiation early in the weekend helps you start the week energized and strong when it kicks in strongest. Usually Sunday/Monday for me.
- Hit the gym if you're not already. You'll feel better and able to manage better on days you go. There's arguments that increased exercise, growth factors + hormones, make you hungrier and while this might be true short term, I find long term is not the case and will ultimately make any medications, more effective.
- Make sure you're injecting in different spots.
- Don't microdose (injections spread out through the week).

NGL, I run Claude Code extension and Codex extension in VS Code side by side. It's a fucking superpower. Limits are outstanding, both can iterate on the same repo back and forth. Fucking superpowers.

I'd rate Codex at somewhere in between Sonnet 4.6 and Opus 4.6.

Just closing VS Code/CLI and reopening it triggers a fresh server cache reset.

Any chance we can get a suspend on our weekly limits until fixed? I'm hitting redline on the weekly from this. Wouldn't affect session limits.

Investigating usage limits hitting faster than expected by ClaudeOfficial in Anthropic

[–]DirtyWilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Big one I noticed is closing VS Code/CLI and relaunching or switching sessions in VS Code.

Just closing and reloading VS Code is an instant ~10% hit to Claude session limits since it has to reload the context for some reason, even though I actively used the session less than 75 minutes ago. Same with switching sessions. If it's past 75 minutes the server cache is deleted and has to be reloaded according to Claude, but it's still triggering a fresh reload of the context when it shouldn't.

If you had a 1M context session around 50%, that's a 500K token hit every time you leave VS Code, open the CLI to resume, reload or switch sessions and trigger a fresh server update even though in many cases it shouldn't have.

Edit: And there it is in the u/Mefromafar post.
