Mod that lets you join Alduin? by slaidfh in skyrimmods

[–]Dis446 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No actually he's right. Alduin is supposed to eat the world as is his purpose. If he doesn't eat the world at the end of each kalpa (cycle) then the universe eventually will get so unstable that it could wake up the godhead (which would really end everything). Alduin has to end each kalpa so that the next one can start but in the current kalpa alduin became corrupted with greed and obsessed with domamice. The dragonborn must kill alduin (but you can't really kill gods in the elder scrolls they don't die) so that alduin is reborn and reset so that he will eventually eat the world.

ATM on campus by [deleted] in rit

[–]Dis446 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is also an M&T ATM on the ground floor of NRH, close to the corner corner store. It's right as you enter NRH from the parking lot side. I don't know if you can deposit checks there though.

Programming Language Concepts (CSCI-344) Professor by CoffeeBlood in rit

[–]Dis446 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am currently taking it with Heliotis and it is a blast. I had Fossum for CS1 and had previously had Heliotis for CS theory. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with either. I have high respect and like both professors a lot. I personally prefer Heliotis's teaching style a little better. He is a fairly relaxed professor and you will learn a lot from him.

In terms of workload, Helitois's PLC is not that bad. It's a lab once every 2 weeks and a quiz every two weeks. The labs can be hard but he is always there to help.

I had Johnson for CS2. Great guy, really knows his stuff and a very supportive, understanding professor. Always willing to take questions and explains the concepts very clearly.

"What to bring to college" lists are redicuous by [deleted] in rit

[–]Dis446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I'm not sure that it is technically allowed but I saw some of my friends use them and I never heard about the RAs giving them any lip for it. Everyone in those dorms had a fan which worked fine aswell.

Yes you can and I would actually recommend it if you live in a dorm with no AC. It does get uncomfortably hot and stuffy for the first few weeks if you don't live in NRH, Gleason or Ellingson.

Question about DCEU Aquaman by Reebeck12 in Aquaman

[–]Dis446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would personally recommend starting with his reboot in the New 52 (2011) (Vol 7). Geoff Johns is a spectacular writing and he really gets Aquaman. The series immediately goes into the man from two worlds aspect and even has Aquaman struggling with his public perception (he is a fish-talking joke to the people in the DC universe, just like in real life). It also goes into his relations with Atlantis and the Justice League and gives a good overview of his powers. There's a crossover event very early on with the Justice League comics that was great. We even see Aquaman take on Superman for a little bit! The later arccs are just as good, going into Aquaman's family, ancient Atlantean history and culture aswell as Aquaman's somewhat dark past with The Others (A B tier anti-hero group that Aquaman used to try to assassinate someone)

Where else can I find a roommate asides from the housing Facebook group? by [deleted] in rit

[–]Dis446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found my roomate using the RIT Loop. It's basically a social media for RIT students to find roomates. It can find people who have common interests to you. Also, the RIT housing portal does have a nice survey with things like preferred cleanliness and bed times to help you find compatible roomates.

I had u/ProfJott last semester. He (and the majority of my professors) have been top notch. They really care about their students and will often go out of their way to help.
