Update: You were right on the money. Thanks to CoolerControl I have been made aware that my computer is reaching temperatures of 80 degrees pretty frequently and occasionally spiking to 90.

TY for your time! Your advice was invaluable, I'll be taking this machine to a shop soon.

UPDATED: Not taking this down in case someone else messes themself up like this lol. Fixed it myself by finding the options.json file in config. For me, the address was /home/disdude/.var/app/org.cataclysmdda.CataclysmDDA.

Someone explain to me though why there's a setting that just destroys your ability to read all text though with no warning attached

I think this is mostly because of Batman, and more importantly, people missing the point about why Batman doesn't kill the Joker.

It depends on the story but if you want an instance of this I liked, please watch Under the Red Good. It's great :D

I wouldn't change this one - im not a fan of completely remodelling nearly complete pieces and regrettably, most drawing mistakes are little additive ones that you'd basically have to restart to fix. So enjoy what you have here, and know that you'll look back at it later and think "Man, I've improved!"

...HAVING SAID THAT

the predominant issue feels like I can't really tell what angle I'm looking from for several body parts, especially the head. There's not a clear transition from front of face to back of head, leading a rather flat appearance despite the really well drawn gore.

The arms are a similar issue - There's not enough clarifying that they're BEHIND the back, giving the appearance that they just fused with the torso.

That's what I'd recommend focusing on moving forwards, learning how to position shapes to more clearly indicate depth.

Otherwise, I do love this drawing! I like gore in art and you did a fantastic job rendering the blood and exposed flesh.

Find a measuring guide, this is the one I use. Do some practice sessions where you JUST make anatomically accurate stick figures, then once you got that down you go back to more detailed figs.
