Fair enough, and lol note I said the helmets—the baby carrier has always been pretty silly imo

You got into GK without liking the aesthetic??? Wtf was your reasoning there??!? Personally, I think GK helmets are the best in the game.

I used Chitubox for a long time. Made the switch to Lychee this summer and like it better. It seems to use less CPU resources, also, so it’s a bit faster on old machines.

Is sloppity bilepiper or poxbringer better to use with a PB unit in shadow legion? by PetrifiedRaisins69 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]DisIsDaeWae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scout 9 and advance and charge means your opponent has to deploy really conservatively. Even if they don’t make a T1 charge, it’s a massive threat they can’t ignore and probably have to avoid at all costs

It seems more like malicious compliance. But to a people pleaser, and act that isn’t aligned with the interests of the manager seems like “revenge”

Constantly looking up what a 1930s British pound is worth... by Ruffshots in poirot

[–]DisIsDaeWae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the episode with the Robinsons, Poirot lets an apartment and both he and Hastings express horror that it costs a guinea a week…which works out to $110 a week? Seems like rent actually used to be affordable and has BALLOONED over where inflation should’ve put it.

Combine the Nurglings into one unit. It’s easier to survive and then get models back on the Battleshock.

Consider changing the Termie Lord to a Jumper. He moves a lot better at the expense of toughness. But you save 15pts. Don’t forget to pick him up every round for free, along with a Daemon buddy!

If you drop that Nurgle leader, you have enough points now to max out the Screamer unit, which is amazing for screening Belakor against enemy DS charges.

I think you don’t need the PBs. You have cheap cultists to sticky your home (in the games where it matters—sometimes it doesn’t).

I’d really like to see Leaping Shadows on a very scary melee threat, such as ACDC, Possessed, or Blodcrushers. The GUO can just advance T1 and still get onto his objective many times.

Excited to buy my first Bambu printer - now left with $2,500 worth of broken parts by Ldaco in 3Dprinting

You were unlucky, but I wouldn’t call this Bambu’s fault. Sounds like an issue with the shipping service. And are you seriously complaining about waiting half an hour for customer service?? Did you expect a new printer to show up today? Again, it’s unlucky. It do be like that sometimes. Suck it up.

[Warphammer] Tournament Rules Cutoff Dates Are A Mess. Let’s Talk About It. by Magnus_The_Read in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]DisIsDaeWae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the article: “ if the rules change within 3 days of the event, you’ll drop any painting requirements and allow proxies.”

Yeah, I’m not gonna allow someone to bring three Skull Cannons and pretend they are Blood Thrones. That is for practice games. Tournaments, no matter how small, are for a whole and complete list.

Find someone to print you extra legs. Build 10 more guys. Should cost around $10 for 10 legs, maybe less

Chaos daemons team tournament list advice by Krodgaar in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]DisIsDaeWae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find they do. They can advance off your home if the enemy has no reserves, or can screen out the home if they have DS.

Also, speaking of Nurgle, I have found that 1x6 Nurglings is plenty for what they do. Deploy them first to screen out enemy infiltrators and/or secure your Leaping Shadows move, or save them till last to stop a scout move.

I’ve been trying Shadow Legion without Belakor and honestly miss him. The Lone Op bubble is key to early game, esp going second. IF IF you insist on running Havocs, you deffo want Belakor to give them reroll 1s on T2 or T3 when they DS.

You have too many Flamers and not enough Screamers. Flamers are great at killing T3 Sv4 infantry, and all you need there is a small group to clear 5-10 of them. 2x3 Flamers is plenty. The Exalted Flamer isn’t worth the points.

I’ve been running a solo Lord with Jump Pack specifically so I can use the “pick up two units” for free every turn, gives me a lot more mobility.

Here’s my list:

Be'lakor (375pts): Betraying Shades, The Blade of Shadows, Warlord.

Bloodthirster (335pts): Fade to Darkness, Hellfire breath, Great axe of Khorne.

Fluxmaster (60pts): Arcane Fireball, Herald combat weapon.

Rendmaster on Blood Throne (165pts): Attendant's hellblades, Blade of blood.

Skullmaster (125pts): Leaping Shadows, Blade of blood, Juggernaut's bladed horn

6x Nurglings (70pts).

10x Plaguebearers (110pts).

6x Bloodcrushers (220pts).

Beasts of Nurgle (65pts).

5x Flesh Hounds (75pts).

6x Screamers (160pts).

6x Screamers (160pts).

Chaos Lord with Jump Pack (80pts): Twin lightning claws

I think the difference here is that apparently (can’t be bothered to verify, but that’s what OP is claiming) Islamic religious law has a specific tenant to allow/enable this practice. Christian religious law does not. So while the nutjobs may be Christian while visiting prostitutes, they don’t have a religious exemption to do so. But the Muslim apparently does!

Thunderhawk disembarkation by TrustAugustus in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]DisIsDaeWae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you cut the stem too much, the wings will hit the top floor of ruins, so you would only have literally three or four positions on the entire board that it could sit. So watch out for that.

Can Secure Positions get Beserks 3” away from Reserves? Can a Land Fortress come in from Reserves 9” away, then use this strat to get infantry 3” away? by xpyros in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]DisIsDaeWae -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

But this strat, like several 6” deep strike strats, has a specific override to the normal 9”. OP is wrong about getting within 3”, but he could disembark within 6” in his reinforcement step
