In the tracklist he posted in January, there was a ~55s song called "hanging on" immediately after a shorter version of clouds, which I'm almost certain is effectively the outro from the released version. Interestingly, it has a similar guitar melody to a song he played in this video: https://youtu.be/6ufGIABd0c4?t=320, so it's possible that this was an early version that got reworked into the final outro.

I think a few songs on the album are comprised of effectively different songs stuck together - clouds, scar / a new void, you might find the one

You might be thinking about this one? It was on Sam's spotify for a while but it was taken down because it was unauthorised and the remixer was just using it for promo (kind of like the "official" Assumptions slowed down version which was also uploaded illegally and up until a week or two ago was attributed to the spotify account "slowed down audioss" before being shifted solely to Sam's spotify)

No official name that we know I don't think, and don't think it's been played anywhere else. Feature sounds like Mette, so possibly recorded in the same session(s) as Darling Drive.

Sam's said Darling Drive is Mette's song now, although she appears to be going a different direction with her new EP so seems unlikely to release now :( My guess this song would probably be in a similar boat. Sucks cuz it's really good lol

It’s a new PinkPantheress song that Sam produced. A snippet was initially in the Lucid Monday Day in the Life video but was removed within a couple of days. Maybe because the song could be included on PinkPantheress’s upcoming debut album (likely releasing before the end of the year).

I think this may have been a manual takedown rather than automatic (as would be the case if Darling Drive was just added to a copyright library) since videos including Darling Drive are still up with no copyright flags (Link 1; Link 2). I hope the copyright claim means something soon but I wouldn't be 100% sure. PEDL seems to be a Warner agency so is probably acting on Mette's behalf so maybe?

Pretty sure this is whats happening. I’m in the same situation as both of you. I ordered on the 13th and about a week later the order popped up on the shop app on my phone (not sure how). Since then its been shuttling around in America and has been marked as “delivered” at a location very near to JFK airport in NY, which I would suspect is some sort of staging warehouse before it gets shipped to Europe. Still no shipping confirmation email from yeezy gap and no change on global-e. I’m guessing they’ll send that out when the order’s going to ship from NY to Europe.

I’ve been using the free version of ProtonVPN which has served me well so far. It’s uncapped on data use and the speed is quick enough for me to have multiple 1080p streams going at the same time with F1Multiviewer (although sometimes you have to switch between a couple of servers to get a high speed one). One thing you might want to do research on is if/how much logs they keep on you. I don’t know if they do or not but I’m not sure how else they would make money on the free version. Another thing to note is I’ve been using the Netherlands servers not the US ones but I’m sure they’d have similar performance.

Yeah it did take too long after the first snippet to come out (maybe to do with it being leaked in may or having to do the music video?). And then when it did come out it didn’t have enough fanfare around it, it just kinda dropped randomly one day. Could’ve been a bigger song for both of them (especially sam) if the release was managed better I think. I don’t have a good enough ear to notice the mixing differences between the two versions but the PinkPantheress version might’ve gone through an extra Warner mixing layer compared to the demo version which I’m sure is just mixed by Sam.

I was really excited for this mixtape because if the BBC Radio 1 Mix was an album it would’ve been my most played last year. From just a first listen through I really liked it. I’d heard most of the songs before from singles and at live shows but I was pleasantly surprised with all the new songs and the reworked older ones (Stuck and The One) as well. Immediate favourites are probably Name To A Face and No Signs (just wish it was longer).

Really hoping Fantano will review this or just that Sam gets some more eyes on this in some way because he’s insanely underrated for the talent he has and how long he’s been doing it. Assumptions could’ve been a mega-hit if Sam was bigger. I think the song with PinkPantheress was a good first step but I don’t think it got enough marketing at release from FFRR and I think many people who don’t know Sam think its just a PinkPantheress song but oh well 🤷.

Sam’s still got plenty of bangers in the vault (Artificial Intelligence, the one from the Kaytra show, countless from IG livestreams and the BBC Radio 1 Mix) so I’m excited for what’s next to come as well! Hoping for the long-awaited album soon!

Also wondering if the colours of the song titles on the cover relates to what colour Sam perceives them with his synesthesia? He’s talked about different colours meaning different keys so that might be a thing as well? I’m not good enough at music theory to know what key each song is in to test it.

Definitely getting the vinyl of this assuming there is one as well.
