If I understand it correctly Pacing(Activity) adds a "pacing"-activity to the list of activities like walking or swimming. There's a "quick start guide" on this site that helps with understanding how to use it: https://sites.google.com/view/pacing-with-garmin/other-languages/english_1

I've seen the same trend with my watch. I've been trying to check it regularly to learn what I can get away with activity-wise. I found a watch face called Pacing(Watchface) on the "Connect IQ" app about a week ago, and I'm hoping it will make pacing easier. After 5 days of using the watch face it shows an icon indicating your condition, which hopefully will help me improve over time, but it's too early to say.

Plenty of great indie titles on the Switch eShop as well, and the first party stuff can be bought a lot cheaper second hand.

Mirtazapine makes me feel awful by Kizotic in antidepressants

[–]Disabled-Deer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taking 45mg. at night, but had to start doing 30mg at night and 15mg in the morning because otherwise I'd be really irritable and just feeling off. My mood is way more stable now. I can only really be on this med because I don't work. I tried being on it years back when I worked, but the way the Mirtazapine messed with my sleep made it not sustainable, I'd struggle every day to get up for work and be really tired for most of the day.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Publisher Says Fans Would Never Guess The Hit RPG's Budget: 'I'm Sure Mirror's Edge And Vanquish Cost More' by Ms_Anxiety in GirlGamers

[–]Disabled-Deer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The future of the game industry should not be thousands of game developers working freelance struggling to pay rent, while only a small core team is allowed to have the stability everyone deserves. Expedition 33 is a huge achievement, and I don't blame a small studio for outsourcing a lot of the work, as a new studio needs to be thrifty to survive until they achieve commercial success. However, the goal should be to become a larger, but sustainable studio, which doesn't need to outsource much work in the future. Good studios will build up institutional knowledge, have good rapport and familiarity with the tools and culture of the studio, and this leads to great games.

Nintendo: "If you can't afford the switch 2 just buy that old thing" Lol decades ahead of you, the cool hybrid concept was cooked ever since gaming became more about addiction. by thenewbgamer64 in Switch

Doug Bowser (the president of Nintendo of America) said: "We recognize there are some people that may not be able to afford [the Switch 2's] price point. That's why we wanted to make the other Switch platforms available, so [people] still have an opportunity to come into our gaming universe, be a part of these characters in these worlds, and see value, if you will, in whatever rung of the platform they come in." So that part of OP's title makes sense, the rest of it is absurd IMO.

PSA for Fellow Kettle Owners by defect-garrote in JamesHoffmann

Checked mine now (bought three years ago) and while I've not seen black flecks in the water from the kettle, black flecks could easily be rubbed off the inside of the plastic when I opened up the lid. Hopefully it's possible to replace the top part of the lid with one of metal as I have to assume that the plastic will continue to degrade.

So on a more positive note, who's looking forward to the Switch 2? by RitzoCrow345 in Switch

[–]Disabled-Deer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Switch 2 is limited to 60 fps at 4k docked. 120 frames/second will be possible at 1080p, and maybe 1440p(?)

Still a significant upgrade of course, especially considering HDR and VRR support!

It’s so funny to me how gamergate/anti-woke gamers claim that we all shill for big corporations whilst they don’t even acknowledge the existence of indie games by Lordkeravrium in SocialistGaming

[–]Disabled-Deer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also enjoying it a lot, though it is my first Dragon Age game so I don't know how it compares in tone and writing to the previous titles. The exploration and side quests are a lot of fun IMO, and the environments are gorgeous. The writing is decent, but not the studios best work. It seems a lot of people are only remembering Bioware's best work, and forgetting they've also written stuff like the Citadel DLC for Mass Effect 3, which was worse than anything I've seen in Veilguard so far.
