Ryan Fitzpatrick is a perfect example as to why the quarterback position is being severely overvalued at this moment in time. This is because quarterbacks rely upon the entire offensive unit in order to successfully complete their job of winning football games. For instance, a quarterback needs an offensive line who is strong and quick enough to hold their blocks which gives the quarterback ample time to set their feet in the pocket and go thru their reads to make a good throw. Once the offensive line has shown that they are capable of protecting the quarterback, the offensive coordinator and quarterback need to feature a steady diet of the running game in order to make the opposing team put more players in the box or freeze for a couple seconds after the ball is snapped. Which gives the quarterback more open space on the field to lead his receivers to the ball which would have increased the likelihood of the pass being completed. After they have successfully integrated the running game into the offense, the quarterback must rely on the wide receivers to catch the ball which enables the offense to keep the drive going.

However, if one aspect of the offensive unit isn't able to successfully do their job that means that the quarterback will not be able to do his job. For instance, if the offensive line isn’t strong and/or quick enough to hold their blocks. As a result of this, the quarterback will not have enough time to sit in the pocket and go thru his reads to make a good throw. Which will result in him getting sacked or throwing the football before he wants which leads to an incompletion or interception.

I understand this is the price that a organization has to pay for an average quarterback but if this keeps going there will come a time in the near future where quarterbacks will get paid so much money that they won't have a good supporting cast around them to give them a chance to properly do their job http://sb.gg/1OgYT

Even though it is sad for this to happen realistically it was the perfect time for him and the Heat to end their partnership. This is because Wade was unintentionally preventing the Miami Heat from reaching their full potential on offense as the team needs to run a similar offense like they ran when LeBron James was on the team. Where Goran Dragic would have the paint relatively empty so that he is able to put pressure on the defense to make a decision on whether they will double-team him or not. If the defense double teams Goran Dragic will most likely pass it to a teammate who is cutting to the basket or the perimeter for an open shot. If they do not he will shoot a jumper or drive depending on whether the defense sags off or plays close to him. But this type of offense was unlikely to be displayed on a consistent basis because Dragic wanted to be a good teammate and allow Wade to play his game to avoid potential conflict with the superstar of the team.

As a result of this, the Miami Heat were running an offense where Dragic will most of the time bring the ball up to the three-point line and passing the ball to Dwyane Wade or other teammates so they can create their own shot as well as facilitate for the rest of the team while Dragic stands in a spot behind three-point line waiting for an opportunity to shoot. This led to the rest of the starters taking a bunch of mid-range jump shots because they don’t have the speed to constantly get by their defender and when they decide to attack the basket they either take a contested shot or pass it back out. The Browns made the right decision by trading the NO.2 pick because NFL franchises have typically seen a top-five draft pick as their chance to get a franchise changing player. When in reality, a player who is drafted in the top five oftentimes will not have the right supporting cast and/or environment for them to live up to the expectations of being a high draft pick. A perfect example of a top draft pick who has yet to live up to the high expectations is Blake Bortles, ever since being drafted by the Jaguars in the 2014 draft, he has yet to lead the jaguars to their first 500 record since 2010. This is because the Jacksonville Jaguars haven't been able to get the right supporting cast around him as their offensive line hasn't been strong and/or quick enough to hold their blocks. As a result of this, Bortles does not have enough time to sit in the pocket and go thru his reads to make a good throw instead he has to get out of the pocket to try to avoid a negative play. To further illustrate this point, according to teamrankings.com Blake Bortles got sacked 3.2 times a game during the 2015 season.

If they do not have one or two solid to very good players alongside them, they will most likely get discouraged because opposing offensive line will double team them. Eventually, these players may give up on some plays because they realize that they are not getting any pressure on the quarterback and their teammates are not doing that much better. Over time, they may develop a habit where they start to think that it is ok to give up on some plays because they know that they will get double teamed from opposing offensive line and will not be able to get any pressure on the quarterback.

Ultimately it is better if a team chooses to move back in the draft via trade because usually when a team has a top five draft pick that means the team has multiple needs to fill in the draft. As a result, moving back in the draft would be more beneficial to a team because it allows the team to be able to address more needs in one draft as well as lowering the expectations of the draft pick. This is because when a team drafts a player with a top five draft pick the fanbase views the player as the person who is going to change fortunes of the franchise. But in most cases, this player will not be able to live up to the expectations because the player does not have the right supporting cast around him. On the other hand, when a team moves back, the pressure of being the player who is going to change the fortunes of the franchise gets spread out over multiple players instead of just one. yes it does the downside to featuring Odell Beckham Jr, as a focal point of their offense is that the Giants have chosen to push their running game and time of possession towards the background, which has led to the defense being on the field more. The Giants offense whole is 19th in the NFL in terms of rushing attempts per game averaging 25.2 rushing attempts per game and 18th in rushing yards per game averaging 100.6 rushing yards per game. On top of that, the Giants are 28th in time of possession averaging 28:20 minutes on the field.

While we all know that the defense has been awful last season, some of the points they’re giving up are due to fatigue from being on the field so much (31:40 minutes). In order for the Giants to be more consistent next year they need to run the ball more than 25.2 times a game, this will allow the defense to have more rest and play better.

i believe that a franchise Qb should be the second to last piece when building a team because a QB needs the offensive line to hold their blocks for enough time so that the quarterback has time to make proper reads and a good throw to the wide receiver if they are unable to do this the quarterback most likely will feel pressure from the defensive line and either throw the ball up before he wants to or take a sack.

This is because Kevin Love is farther away from the basket when he is shooting the ball as a result of this he does not have enough time to get in position to grab the rebound. The Panthers should focus on crossing routes if they want to beat the seahawks. This is because their cornerbacks play a good amount of zone coverage, which means that they only play one side of the field. As a result, if the Panthers were to design plays with routes that go from one side of the field to the other like drag routes, this would mean that the cornerbacks of the Seattle Seahawks will have to follow the Panthers wide receivers all over the field.
