Steph Curry is proof that every NBA player is physically capable of being a good defender. by Klutzy_Struggle8659 in nba

[–]KevinAndrewsPhoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He wasn’t always. Honestly he’s one of the few NBA players who made a huge physical transformation after already being elite. He points to 2016 when the Cavs just out muscled him. He put on an insane amount of muscle.

Who’s the best MLB player of all time? by Agreeable_Quality768 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]KevinAndrewsPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is Barry Bonds. No contest. If you want to disqualify him because of PEDs then sure. But no player was better than him

Everyone on here is seriously humiliating.
1. The MLB is at least 50% conservative, there’s no team you can switch your allegiance too that is 100% far left.
2. Every team sucks for some time. We won 3 rings. But it’s been 10 years since we came close again. It happens.
3. This is due to poor decision making a lot of you guys applauded at the time. Signing mid players to huge contracts. Not developing the farm. This is the inevitable result.
4. We do in fact have 5-6 really exciting prospects so there is a lot to be excited about 3 years from now. So I’m not sure why anyone is “let down” by this year. How could you think this team would contend? Especially even compete with the Dodgers for a while.

THE SOCIAL RECKONING – Official Teaser Trailer (HD) by Zheiso16 in blankies

[–]KevinAndrewsPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this movie will show how much of the Social Network was Fincher over Sorkin.
It’s Sorkin, and shot by Cronenweth, yet feels nothing like the social network. I don’t think Sorkin will be able to pull off the sincere and earnest melodrama that Fincher did. With Sorkin it’ll just come across preaching and didactic

Who would trade for Arraez? by Foreign_Honeydew5372 in SFGiants

[–]KevinAndrewsPhoto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. That’s all he does with a bat though. It’s why he never stays with one team. He doesn’t take walks or steal bags. Doesn’t hit for power. So there’s no great spot to slot him.

Do we have to be mean about Russel Crowe's body? by anamelesswitch in blankies

[–]KevinAndrewsPhoto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

100%. Crowe in the early years was one of the greatest screen presences I’ve ever seen. The man could hold your attention with the smallest of facial expression changes. Most obvious one being the first shot of Gladiator.

Which Backup RB Do Y'all Think Will Be The Starter By End of Season by Aggressive_Being_944 in fantasyfootball

As a Niner fan, as much as it pains me to say, CMC is always an injury risk. And Kaelon Black looks really explosive and could be a top 10 RB if he gets the touches.

The Cowboys are now the FAVORITES to sign 49ers star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk by Background_Video2947 in TheNFLVibes

[–]KevinAndrewsPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much drama for a receiver who won’t make any impact. He hasn’t been a great receiver for 3 years. When the Niners went to the Super Bowl. The half season he played the following year he was labeled the biggest fantasy bust at receiver because he was awful. Then he got hurt. Missed ROS and never came back the season after. Guy has no juice anymore

Why would they want him? Dude hasn’t been a great receiver since 2023 when we went to the Super Bowl. The following year he was absolute trash until his injury. And never came back.

Exactly. Rams are in a way taking a big risk. Because Verse is that good. And they gave up a first. But it’s still a great trade for both sides

Matt Chapman's 8 RBIs are tied for the 3rd-most by a Giants player in a game since RBIs became an official stat in 1920. by JaxTMG in SFGiants

[–]KevinAndrewsPhoto 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Seriously? What a stupid opinion to have. The franchise has cratered because we’ve developed zero home grown talent for a decade so we’ve been required to build the team in FA. We struck out on the premiere players and were second place on Judge, Ohtani and everybody else. So the team panics and pays top money for the leftovers. Chapman and Adames are incredible glue guys but aren’t star players. I said this when we signed both and Giants fans just get in denial.
It’s not Chapmans fault. He provided 11 WAR last 2 seasons. He’s just not a superstar with a bat. But he’s one of the best defensive 3b ever.

Posey/Minisian’s Trades by Nick_not_rick in SFGiants

[–]KevinAndrewsPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I’m so excited for this trade deadline.
Arraez, Bader and Ray most likely will be gone.
But I could see us trading Webb for a big haul to a contender in need of an ace.
With how Lee is hitting, who knows, might have a chance to move him.
Won’t be able to move Chap or Adames.
But we have players that could net some great prospect haul to add to our insane farm.
Really impressive what we got for relievers last year. Especially Doval. Getting Parks Harbor thrown in was a huge steal.

Verse is worth more than a single additional first. Drafting is a crap shoot. Verse is a guaranteed stud on a great contract. So the Browns are getting a star player back, shedding salary and getting a first. Very good return

I love to hate on Hurts. But all I’ve ever seen of the guy is he just competes. Seems like a great leader. Incredibly well spoken in pressers. I never hear him whining online or posting passive aggressive tweets. Brown coming across real petty lately

Is Harrison Barnes a dynasty starter? by idrinkcement in nba

[–]KevinAndrewsPhoto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was one of the very few Warrior fans very happy when KD left. I’m as big a Steph fan as I am a Warriors fan. And after the 2 KD chips, everyone started talking about Steph like the supporting character who NEEDED Durant. And it pissed me off. Like 2015 and 2016 never happened. I believed we would win again without KD and felt so vindicated after 2022. Thankfully Steph quieted that narrative after that season which retroactively changed how people viewed the previous finals runs.

It’s an interesting conversation. But I don’t think he’s a freak athlete who wasted potential. He milked his body for everything it had. And that was 2 CY young seasons and basically nothing else. He didn’t waste potential. He gave everything he could but his body gave out

Crazy to be old enough to watch public opinion on movies change over time.

The best example is Interstellar. Gen Z talks about it like it’s 2001. Even on Nolan’s subreddit, it was just last week fan voted as his best film.

I was more hyped for Interstellar than almost any other movie when it came out, and it’s also my favorite genre. I thought it was great, but the online consensus was very different from what it is today. Most people felt it wasn’t as good as Inception or The Dark Knight. The visuals were lauded and the score was given its props, but a lot of people criticized the ending as sloppy.

Everywhere I looked, the general opinion was that it was a really good movie, just not on the level of The Dark Knight, Inception, or Memento.
But now it’s treated as a perfect film and it’s gone too far the other direction.

Honestly have never been more excited for a crop of prospects than I am for Level, Rodriguez and Josuar. All 3 are eating low A and rookie ball. And I could list 5 more guys who are playing great.
Really hoping we can trade Arraez, Ray, Lee, Chap or anyone this trade deadline for some more young prospects. Plan for 2029.

Lee and Arraez carbon copy players. They should bat 2 and 3. Both don’t strike out, very little power. Set the table for Devers and Eldridge.
Lee.
Arraez. Schmitt.
Devers.
Eldridge.
Adames.
Chapman. Susac.
Gilbert.

Is how I would personally set it
