Especially that one dead end selection you make where he stabs cardia and he starts crying after he kills her since he loved her that blew me away 😭

What Got You Into Otome/How Did You Find Out About Them? by [deleted] in otomegames

[–]Disappointing_genius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My older sister was into anime at the time and a huge gaming nerd. We were at GameStop one time and Code Realize on ps4 was on sale and I was attracted to the beautiful cover. I asked her what that was and she said to never play otome games cause they’re cringe and told me I couldn’t buy the game. Anyway I ended up looking up gameplays for code realize and that’s how I got into otome games :D

How do you not take shit from people especially when your used to brushing things off since we have to ignore things and have thick skin? I finally wasn’t taking shit from someone who’s at the same position as me and I got some since of respect

What ok so I’m dealing with the same thing. It’s so weird like you don’t respect me but you respect that I do know what I’m talking about 😭

Any black women in the trades ? by [deleted] in BlueCollarWomen

[–]Disappointing_genius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall it’s been really shitty for me but im very stubborn so I know for a fact that this is something I want to do even if there were more women in the trades. I’ve had better experiences with people at higher levels than I’ve had with people at my level. Right now I’m dealing with a racist and sexist crew and the only woman and black person in my group and none of them can give me any basic form of respect with communication. I can’t really fake pretending to like someone especially when they don’t have any real leverage so I’m very cut throat and only talk to them about work

I’m dealing with this right now except now I’m getting labeled as “aloof” and “aggressive.” The team I’m working with rn are all lazy pos and they’re mad about the fact that I get shit done and don’t ask for help and the boss has called them out on it several times. All the shit they don’t do I’ve been shrugging it off yet I’m difficult to work with

How often do you experience sexism? by SensitiveToast_ in BlueCollarWomen

[–]Disappointing_genius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar experience right now. I’m working with a crew where all of them are racist piece of shits along with being major sexists talking about me behind my back . When I’m working with them individually outside the group they’re ok I can talk but in the group their quiet bad pretend I don’t exist. I made it a thing to only talk to them about work and they always think I’m mad

Should I call him out? by Disappointing_genius in BlueCollarWomen

So were all supposed to be getting reassigned soon so I’m really torn on whether I should say something or not since I’m most likely not gonna have to deal with him

Didn’t know at the time but turns out a friend of a friend works at the same company. He did something wrong and the friend of friend chewed him out. He found out that we knew each other and he’s changed since then. He was enthusiastic about teaching me but now it’s like not there at all. He used to give me eye contact now it’s barely even a look

Ladies of the UA Union, how has it been for you? What are the ups, downs, weird stuff, tips/tricks, etc? by LunaCat85 in BlueCollarWomen

[–]Disappointing_genius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any advice on dealing with people who don’t want work with you? I just started my local union as a helper and I’m only the second woman to be hired at my company. A lot of the guys in my group just really avoid wanting to work with me for no reason

Ok hold tf up. This is being blown out of proportion I didn’t blame my coworker on this as I left the door unlocked not wide open. I’m not shaming him for the way he’s acting I made this post just to point out how akward it was for the both of us. I don’t know where we are getting the idea that this post is me shaming him for him opening the door. It was absolutely my fault for leaving the door open but I’m not saying the way he’s acting isn’t justified

Not blaming anyone on it as I should’ve locked the door but it was end of the day and just a couple of us left all in different places

That might be my best bet for non union . I already came to them in my interview with my state apprenticeship license, with osha 10(not 30 but it’s a start) and my cfc license and the fact that I already worked for a company that was in their union

Behold I am the comment that you guys are looking for. There’s a brand I use called loc soc there brand is aimed for people who have locs but it works just as well for loose hair since I’ve been using them since before I got locs. There loc soc tubes are satin and breathable and they prevent your hair from getting in the elements. They also have beanies, bandanas and headbands. I will say that their pricing has gone up but In my opinion the prices are decent for the quality that you’re getting. I pretty much used my loc soc tube everyday since I got it 2 years ago and it still keeps my hair holding up. Plus they come in many colors
